I frequently work in West Virginia and this Panera is my usual morning stop after leaving my hotel. The dining area is clean, employees are friendly, and my breakfast order has always been ready in a timely manner. My favorites are the four cheese soufflé and the egg and cheese croissant. read more

Clean dining area with a lot of space. Fast service. Great flavor of salad. Would recommend checking bathroom cleanliness and condition. Would like a hello when we entered. Salad seemed small for a whole serving at full price. read more

Panera Bread - Sandwiches Near Me - St Clairsville, Ohio

Tuna sandwich had no tuna on it. Salad had no dressing included. Terrible food quality at this location.

This waste terrible. Ice rock hard and bricked. The bag smelled like pickle even though there was none. It smells like dih. The cookie could have been used for a golf tournament. I took a bite of the bread and threw it away. Overall 0/5 if I could. read more

I've been to this particular Panera on numerous occasions to take advantage of their coffee subscription promo and have found it to be consistently good, and have been similarly impressed with their food quality as well. The service is a little hit or miss, though. Ohio Valley Mall itself is a bit of a challenge to navigate, not sure why they laid it out the way they did. My recommendation: if you are entering from the entrance closest to the onramp for I-70E, take a right right before the restaurant and you will find a few parking spaces incredibly close to the entrance, and they are almost always empty. The fuji apple chicken salad is quite good, as is the steak and cheese. The real scene-stealer is the mac and cheese, and you really can't go wrong with any of the choices for it. Their iced coffee is quite good, though they are pretty inconsistent with how often they follow the instructions you put on the tablet, and sometimes they add the cream/sugar themselves and others they ask you to do it. This seems like a training issue they might want to address at some point. Both service and cleanliness are good, though nothing award-winning on either end of that. They seem to be in a constant state of training new staff, guess their employee retention could use some work. All things considered, Panera is a healthier alternative for a fast casual meal, and I'm glad to have it around. Overall: 4.0 stars ---- Pros: - Good value for both food and drinks. - Delicious menu items. - Lots of parking, best to use the side parking if you can. Cons: - Coffee prep is pretty inconsistent, they might want to address that. read more

Traveling through back to NJ to pick up a quick sandwich. Not quick -- 40 mins total time spent to order & receive our 2 sandwiches and they were also out of lots of items. If you're just traveling through and don't have an hour to waste on lunch, bypass this location. read more

They need to train their staff more efficiently. I've had slow service more then once & my food is either wrong or half-assed :/ I used to love coming here but it seems to be going down hill read more

Stopped at this Panera while traveling and was impressed by the clean and inviting atmosphere. The service was quick and friendly.

I've tried to like this place. Paid $12, didn't give me the right sandwich and left out the sides i ordered. Legitimately probably the worst place in the area read more

If I could give it 0 I would. As you must already know I am on the D.C trip and as we are on are way home and famished we really relied on the comfort and consistency of Panera. As we have had astonishing experiences in the past, we were expecting nothing but the best. However as we all anticipated it was very busy, but as I have been there frequently it never seemed to be a problem. The kiosk me and my friend used never asked us for are names, and there was frequent pop ups of tipping pleads and places were you could sign up for the app. So when we payed it never could identify us. I took around 30 minutes to get me and my friends food which left us with 5 minutes to eat considering are buses departure time, and my other friends got there food and hour later leaving them too eat on the bus. It was extremely unorganized as many people who ordered 15-20 minutes later than us got their food faster than us. Also my smoothie got token 2x and I kept having to get it remade. The workers continued to yell at us kids whenever we asked about are food and reminding them are departure time. My food was very good, however my friend's chicken was undercooked and the soup came scorching hot. These workers were faced with a difficult challenge however it could have been handled more respectively. read more

my food got snatched and they don't care. I had 3 order and I am only getting one after 30 minutes. never come here.

Came here bc it is slightly more upscale fast food and I figured I wouldn't have to deal with people not taking precautions and wearing masks. I was wrong. Everyone working here was wearing it as a chin bra aside from one wearing it with her nose exposed, all while BSing, laughing and yelling standimg over and handling the food. read more

I downloaded this app just to leave a review. I waited over 35 minutes in the drive thru. Then on top of that they got my order wrong. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich and got some bbq mess. I don't even know what this is. I am never the one to leave the review but this is just ridiculous of a company that wants over $8 for a bowl of soup. read more

I don't know why this place got bad reviews. My wife and I both ordered salads and she also got a Baja bowl. We are salad aficionados and this fare was top notch. Lots of different kinds of greens which is what we look for. All entrees very tasty. Plus we sat right next to one of their fireplaces and we're nice and toasty. read more

I asked Elizabeth at the front counter for a to-go container and she gave me the most questionable confused look I've ever been given. I then had to explain that I had already ordered food and that I simply needed a box and bag to package my food and her response was that of someone being asked to sacrifice their first born. After replying "I'm confused" and showing me a box that would fit over a dozen pastries I had to explicitly tell them to just give me what they'd give someone who ordered a bagel. I've never come across someone this intensely dense in my life it was incredibly embarrassing to witness. Hopefully someone properly trains Elizabeth to meet simple requests in the future. I can't imagine how she'd react if you just asked for no onions on a sandwich. read more

Ordered a "you pick two" with a caprese melt, Mexican street corn chowder, baguette, and a lemonade. Also two plan Asiago bagels for later. I received a tuna salad sandwich (what??) the chowder is all separated and the bagels are as flat dense and misshapen as they could possibly be ... baguette and lemonade were good ‍ read more

They should advertise as a build a bagel, I ordered a bagel and an iced coffee and I had to make my own coffee and put my own toppings on the bagel. I would've thought for $48 they would do it. Bagel was hard as a rock, and coffee was old. Do not go to a Panera, it's an overpriced Dunkin'. read more

I got a call here while I was on duty for a pedophile breaking parole. I was able to swing by and get a bagel to go as I cuffed him and had to sadly drag him out of the store. ALOT of people were screaming. Cinnamon bagel? Cinnamon bagel. 10/10 would arrest again read more

Panera Bread - Panera Bread! Had lots of fun! Service was great! i sneezed when I took this - Sandwiches Near Me - St Clairsville, Ohio

Don't expect your order to be correct here ever. Even when you order on the app or in person it's always wrong. We ordered 3 pick two meals and they were all wrong. My husband can't have mayo. Ordered his sandwich without, was slathered in it. Couldn't eat. My steak sandwich was missing ever condiment. They were too busy worrying about who was on break and who was supposed to be on break. Manager was cussing. It was not a good experience and every time I go anymore something is wrong with my order. Sad. Used to be a good place to eat. read more

There was no one at the counter to take our order, forcing us to use their kiosk. We can figure it out no problem, but when we use their kiosk, order accuracy is terrible. After I paid and waited, I was told that what I wanted was not available. My wife ordered separately, and there was also a mistake with her order. The food was okay, except that my salad was drenched in dressing making the bottom portion inedible. read more

Time to add yet another Panera review under my belt. I ate here while traveling with my mother to a family reunion of sorts. We actually ended up eating here because we were very hungry and we couldn't find any other reasonable, sit-down type restaurants that didn't have a super long wait. So we figured, Hey - it's hard to go wrong with Panera! When we came in the place was pretty empty, so it was nice and quiet and gave us a great break from our drive. Fortunately the emptiness wasn't a signal of some serious problem with the food or employees - I guess most people had somewhere better to eat on a Saturday night, hence the long waits everywhere else. We ordered quickly, got our food quickly and then enjoyed our meal in peace. My mother got their steak & white cheddar panini with their Squash Soup, while I went for my go-to: the Mediterranean veggie and chicken noodle soup. We were both very happy with what we got. I knew from experience that my go-to meal offered the best balance of healthy, nutritious and delicious possible; I will forever love that veggie sandwich! But after sampling a bite of my mother's combo I'd definitely order that, too. Steak and cheddar was as yummy as I expected, but seeing as I'm not a die-hard squash person the squash soup was the surprise of the meal - it was super tasty, moreso than I thought it would be. All in all, everything ran smoothly and tasted excellent, and all was exactly what I'd expect from a Panera. Two thumbs up! read more

I usually love everything I get at Panera, I am traveling home to New Jersey and stopped in for a sandwich for dinner. I took it to go, and was very unhappy when I opened it up an hour later, I got the almond chicken salad sandwich. It was not cut. I specifically asked for no tomato as I am not able to tolerate them, there was a tomato. the chicken salad was very sparse maybe a teaspoonful. (I have ordered this sandwich before at this store and was satisfied, but not this time. read more

So, last week I come here before work. They mess up my order. It's fine, it happens and I've been on the receiving end of some pretty brutal customer complaints. Well, I come inside and give my messed up sandwich to the girl at the counter, Majestic. Well, Majestic wasn't having any of that, as I'm mid sentence explaining the problem she rolls her eyes, walks over to her coworker and starts obviously whispering about my complaint. Which, to be honest just really made me feel like a bullied teen in high school, but whatever Majestic. I'm glad my request to have what I paid for was gossip worthy. And then there's tonight. I go through the drive thru, order my sandwich, get my sandwich, and it's wrong. The store is closed at the point I get up to the doors with my wrong sandwich. I knock on the door. The employees can hear me, SEE ME HOLDING MY WRONG SANDWICH, and choose to flat out ignore me. I had to call the store, the (I assume) manager, Summer, answers, lets me in, and corrects my order, as I stand there in the lobby with every employee refusing to make eye contact with me. In summary, thank you Summer for letting me back in, for the two bags of free chips, and fixing my sandwich. But, oh my god, could you guys get any worse at running a restaurant? read more

i used to like Panera a lot, but I've had a series or really bad recent situations. Tainted food, bait and switch on pricing. I wanted to order a pack of 6 flip flop shoe cookies for my nieces and nephews. The company's web site lists 9.99 for 6. When I got to the store they were 11.99 and the manager informed me she would give me the advertised price "this time." She was bitchy and acted like she was doing me a favor by charging what they say they will charge. Ridiculous. It does no good to call the corporate office. Panera is Panera is Panera. You know what you're getting - hearty food for reasonable prices in a spacious location. I stopped by here on a road trip with family and was pleasantly surprised to see that this Panera was no different from the others I have frequented at home, which came as welcome need to us weary travelers. I ordered a chocolate chip muffie and a Mediterranean Veggie sandwich. The service at this location is exceptional and we were given special attention when ordering and getting our food to go. I personally thought that both the pastry and the sandwich were much better than the ones I normally get, with the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich filled with fresh bell peppers and crunchy lettuce. I would definitely stop at this mall location next time I am driving back to Philly from Cincinnati! read more

I'm a Panera junkie. When traveling for work I look for the familiar comfort of a Panera wherever I happen to land. I was staying in Wheeling, so I drove over to this location for lunch and damn - I really wish I hadn't. I got super sick within 30 minutes of eating my lunch. I know it can happen and it won't keep me from eating at Panera in the future, but if I am in the Wheeling area again I'll drive in the opposite direction toward the other Panera. read more

I stopped here after work, and I was looking for a vegan option. The employee at the register told me that there was someone who works there that was vegan, and she would get him to help me further decide what to get. My friends an I stopped at the OV Mall location for lunch. We each chose our meals from the pick 2 menu : Soup, 1/2 sandwich, and salad. The broccoli cheese soup was delicious and the toasted cheese 1/2 weare both filling and good. One friend had the tomato soup and sandwich while the other had the broccoli cheese soup and Cesar salad. The salad wasn't as good as expected, something in the taste was just not right. The size of the salad was much larger than I thought for the price. There was a good selection of cold drinks as well as hot beverages. Very clean and comfortable. read more

Good, but far too much $$$$ for what you get... my kids love Panera, I cant get excited about it.

Panera is Panera. You don't expect innovative food or anything out of the ordinary. What you should expect is consistent food and good service. Instead, they kicked out a group who had purchased drinks and were staying for a Sunday afternoon church book club. Disgusting. Clearly this place doesn't want customers...
