I recently purchased a pergola kit from this 84 lumber location near St. Augustine. I read through…read morea brochure that I had downloaded and ordered from a parts list through one of the assistant managers, Joe. I had no issue with the delivery or purchase. However, there were some glaring inconsistencies between the parts purchased and the actual plans provided by 84 Lumber. I ended up with an additional rafter that I needed to return (parts indicated 12 while plans showed 11). I had to dicker about having someone come to collect the 12 foot rafter and was even told that I might have to be charged for the collection. The rafter was collected but I wasn't reimbursed. I made a trip to the store some weeks after and had to insist that I be reimbursed for the additional rafter as the purchase wasn't due to my carelessness but rather the plans that 84 Lumber distributed. I pointed out as well that the brochure features a pergola made by another company and not 84 Lumber. The manager, Kyle, finally reimbursed me but not without a display of annoyance. I was given a receipt and I told them "thank you" but nothing was said in return. It seems that in some way I had put them out and I did not feel as though my purchase (about $2,000) was appreciated. I find it hard to recommend 84 Lumber that for the uninitiated, is kind of like your grandfather's lumber yard. I just didn't get a warm feeling during the entire process. If any consolation, the pergola looks great!

I was tired of…read morebeing placed on hold for ever on the phone and often speaking to and associate who didn't know their posterior from a hole in the ground. Finally, I decided to give 84 Lumber a try. What a difference. On the second ring, Stephan answered the phone with "What is your project, how may I help". We discussed my project which was covering my 200 sq. ft. paved sunroom floor wood laminate. We discussed the project, and an hour later he returned my call with an approximate cost of the material. After several visits which I made changes, I ordered the material and requested a specific delivery date. Not only was the material delivered on the requested date , but within the hour of the promised time, with no delivery charge. Since them I have visited the store and received the same attention from Stephan and Joe. I highly recommend this store for lumber and associated supplies.

They don't just pump out the double wide kitchen renovation. They are kicking out some of the most beautiful designs for kitchens and bathrooms I have seen since being in Miami. They travel to Italy and take pictures of walls, houses, beds, furniture, just to get ideas. This couple (The DAngelo's) demand the best in all they do. From granite to kitchens they settle for nothing less then perfection.

Over the entire project time they have visited my home 3 times. All 3 times they were there less than 10 minutes and really had no input to the process. When I choose D'Angelos I was promised a project manager to supervise the sub contracts and employees that were sent my home. I was not to be involved as I am very busy with my own job. I accepted a higher cost for their service since I the process was suppose to be seamless. This never happened and as a result I have to supervise them daily. Because of this I have had the last 4 months of my life on hold as I deal wit the sub-contractors. The project as been a complete disaster and ton of rework has taken place at my expense. D'Angelo's Design center does not take responsibility for their own work and mostly just ignores anything that would take a little extra effort to resolve. I currently have open issues on our punch list that they refuse to even acknowledge there existence. I would not recommend this company to anyone, unless you like paying a higher cost for a service you will not receive and you like staying at home to supervise their contractors. Decided to go to Manning lumber , what a pleasure to deal with , from start to the delivery all top notch !
