He ended up needing to send it back and wait for the right colour. Very annoying that they didn't ask or just thought no one would notice. To be fair, this is the second time this has happened (last time it was with another jeweller. I wonder if they use the same watchsmith..) I'll be back for whatever needs I have because the customer service was good and handled it all, but I'd recommend making sure you check your items.

I brought my diamond ring in to get it plated with white gold. I have heard many horror stories from "a relative" never to bring your diamond rings in because many jewelry stores will steal your diamond and replace it with something cheaper. I resisted upgrading my ring for a long time. When I brought my ring in, they made sure they tested the diamond and weighted the ring. After the ring was finished, they tested the diamond in front of me again and made sure the weight was the same. To me, that does not seem like a business trying to rip people off. Although this is my first experience with them, this business and its owners have been around in Vancouver for over 20 years. I don't think they can stay in business this long if indeed they are ripping people off.

I also showed her a few special items of my mother's to get an idea of value and what was needed to bring them back to life. The rings were done very quickly and at a reasonable price, so I returned with the other jewelry for refurbishment and, in one case, rhodium-plating. I liked it right away and went inside the store. The woman I dealt with (don't recall her name) was really friendly. She took me over to the display case where the Citizen watches were. There were two Pro Master divers but not the one which was pictured on the sign. She said she could call the other store in White Rock to see if it was there (which it was). She asked to have it sent to the Surrey Central location. I was more than pleased and said I would come back on Sunday. Fast forward to Sunday (today). I went back as I said I would. The woman I dealt with on Friday wasn't there. I remember having seen another woman (whose name I also don't know) from Friday who was there. I explained who I was and said I had the watch on hold for me. She found it, brought it over so I could try it on and I was in love. This watch was literally screaming my name. However, I'm a skinny guy and this watch had to be resized with some links taken out. Another woman (Fara I believe her name was) was suggested to do that because she would be able to do it a lot better. That was fine by me. I said I would come back in twenty minutes. That turned out to be closer to half an hour because I had some shopping at another store to take care of. "Fara" was with another customer so I waited a few minutes until she was finished. I tried the watch on and it was still too loose. I suggested there was a procedure she could do where the bracelet could be tightened without removing any links. This is where my "happy story" comes to an end. Other customers were coming into the store and she asked me to come back (again, meaning a third time for entering that store within one hour). I left, and when I came back 15-20 minutes later saw her helping a couple with their wedding ring questions. They were carrying on and on and on, and I knew I was going to be waiting a very long time, even though I was time restricted and had to be at a certain place shortly thereafter. This review is only getting two stars because "Fara" shouldn't have asked me to "come back" after I had already left that store the first time! What she should have done is ask those other people to wait until my watch had been properly sized, no matter how long that took! I felt like I had been completely punted aside and ignored. I left the store without a word and have no idea when I will be back to pick up my watch and have it properly resized. "Fara", your customer service went down the toilet really really fast, and I don't like the way I was treated. Next time consider how a customer feels before asking them to "come back" before putting some other customer's needs first! Not impressed!

The service person I was dealing with couldn't find it so we went through the catalog to track it down. She had trouble looking it up in the computer for pricing and called over another girl to look it up. She didn't look very hard and said that she would call the other store to see if they had ordered it before. I watched as she took the book to the office behind the mirrored glass. The thing with the mirrored glass is that it doesn't fully block what is being done on the other side. The person never picked up the phone and proceeded to snack on some food that was in the office. After a few minutes she returned saying she had spoken with the other store and they had ordered it. She proceeded to quote me a price that was double what the other store had quoted me. I had come here to see if there were any boxing day promotions. It wouldn't have bothered me if there were not. I was not impressed by the fake stall the customer and then coming back with a fake storey at double the price. I would not recommend this location as they can't be trusted.
