Purchased a $300 rc plane on 2/8/15 as a valentines gift upon sale, I told the owner that the…read morerecipient wanted gas, he talked me into electric and said it would be fine if I returned and exchanged it or got a refund. I returned on 2/20/15 and he told me he wasn't going to allow me to exchange or refund the product Cause it's a known fact that no hobby store has a return policy. I asked him where is it posted in his store and he said it's not. I asked for a written receipt of what was purchased and he said my credit card receipt is my receipt. The credit card receipt doesn't help me if I want to resell whatever it is that he sold me. During this conversation he acknowledged the contents of the package were undisturbed and appeared unopened. He accused me of being a liar and he called me crazy when I became angry that he told my boyfriend that It was known about his return policy. He is very disrespectful, arrogant and dishonest. I WOULD SPEND THE EXTRA $5 AND GO TO ANOTHER HOBBY SHOP IN MOBILE OR GULFPORT. show less

The first reviewer is spot-on - but you don't have to be a single girl…read more I came here with my husband so we could get some D&D supplies. They were chocked full of all sorts of stuff, which was cool. The owner clearly is passionate and knowledgeable, but it became a bit cumbersome because we wanted to browse independently, but the owner lingered by us for probably a good 10-15 minutes talking the entire time. It made it hard to focus on what I was looking at. They had a small Wiccan/Occult section, which I thought was nice. The owner stated he kept it tucked away because he doesn't want to scare anyone off. A while later I jokingly asked him if he had the rare edition of the Necronomicon (seriously though - I would love to get my hands on that.) He said he used to have one, to which I very jokingly said he should put it on display out in front. He replied again, no, he'd want to keep a family friendly image. *record scratch* Okay, so you mean to say you're attempting to keep a family friendly image going on with your store? The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the overwhelmingly, obviously displayed Frank Frazetta / Luis Royo / Boris Vallejo art books faced out at eye level. Any fantasy art fan would know they are famous for their depictions of luscious, nude women. And there the books were, bare and spread as the eye could see as soon as you walk through the front door. Don't get me wrong - I love their art, but is it family friendly? Don't kid me. Additionally, at the check out counter, there's a wall FULL of hentai. You'd have to be blind not to see the tentacle rape and schoolgirls with overdeveloped 34EEE breasts. Family friendly? C'mon son. Great, I've probably clearly identified myself for the next time I come back. HI THERE!! *waves* I found it amusing but agreeable to my wallet that I was given steep discounts for all the Tolkien merchandise I bought. A rare Bestiary of Middle Earth ($35 USD) and Children of Hurin (brand spankin' new hard cover) ($20ish), for $10 each. I wasn't going to object, but a part of me wondered if it was because I was an excited fan who finally found a long-lost book from her collection, or if it was because of my gender. My husband found most of what he was looking for, as well as a really bitchin' D&D themed messenger bag, worth every penny. If you're a Robert E Howard fan -- RUN, do not walk here. He's got more Conan stuff than you can shake a stick at. It was cool! Well, regardless, I got a nice discount, the guy is knowledgeable, and you can find a LOT of rare, cool stuff here. It's in the nastiest part of Biloxi on the nastiest part of Pass Road, but it's a nice little gem in a hole in the wall.

I want to point out the date I'm posting this. While it's only a couple of weeks from when I…read moreactually shopped there (just before Christmas), it's still 2025/2026 of this posting. That said, I wouldn't return to this location simply because the very moment I walked in I was given/required to wear a mask to shop on property. Yes, the wonderful mask of 2020. No recent COVID outbreak, I wasn't sick. It wasn't optional. I cannot support a business that believes that is the best practice. Mandates are gone. The mask functionality is 50/50 at best.
