Panda IV was my favorite restaurant growing up, and they haven't changed a bit. The butterfinger topping next to the ice cream, the fresh made sushi, the hot wings, and the orange chicken are all great. The egg rolls are excellent, and the self-service is always fast, they refill your drinks quickly as well. The place is clean and you always know what you're coming to get. Here on a business trip for a couple weeks. Family came to visit for a day and we all couldn't figure out where to go for food. Finally we decided to go to Panda. I wasn't excited to go to a Chinese buffet nor was I upset to go to a Chinese buffet. So I was pretty neutral about visiting this establishment. Honestly, my family and I were 100% impressed with this place. Staff was very friendly and attentive to all guests (that were sitting around the same area that I noticed). Food was really good. Price per person is very great (in my opinion). Overall, it was a pleasant time with my family. 10/10 would recommend. I'm glad I didn't check Yelp beforehand. Doesn't look like the way it look before. I was very disappointed. When my kids were in JBU it was the highlight of our trip. My son stayed in Lowell so we decided to go back and relive our experience. Big disappointment it was dirty and disgusting. As you walk in the fish tank is so dirty you can see the fish and then you walk in and you can see that the curtains are falling of all the dirt. We decided to try the food and everything tasted like dirty fish. The general Tao chicken had a sour taste. Even the egg roll taste fishy.. Never again,, so sad because back in those good old days it was an amazing place to eat read more

I've been eating at Panda since I moved to Arkansas in 2013. It used to be good, and I'd eat there at least monthly if not more often. But the last year or so, something has changed. My parents both got sick after we went to lunch there in July 2022...at the time, I wasn't sure it was the food. My best friend and I just ate there tonight (March 2023) and we both got sick. I had vomiting and diarrhea from food poisoning just 30 minutes after dinner, and my friend had similar but milder symptoms. The food had looked and tasted good, but something was unclean or wrong. Living in a small town to begin with doesn't allow my taste buds the honor of trying nice restaurants very often, but this place has definitely opened my eyes. The buffet had a variety of fresh food, seafood, sushi, a salad bar, etc. The cooked food was steaming hot and was nothing short of spectacular quality. Our waitresses were always stopping by seeing if we needed anything and kept up with us. We had several times the ladies were being super sweet and just talking to us. I loved that they were always smiling and wanting to help. It wasn't too much and it wasn't too less. I was especially impressed with their modern decor, seating, tables, etc. It was all a very serene environment to compliment their already wonderful service and food. And when we got our check, for two people at lunch, I was paying the same thing if not less for the "best Chinese restaurant" (Chen Garden) in my home town. It was less than 20 dollars. Went on a Sat around noon - the place had a crowd but is so huge there was still lots of empty space! Seemed like the whole time we were there they were putting out more items non stop - everything was so fresh and hot!! They had fried shrimp that had the perfect ratio of shrimp to breading! Went in for a quick lunch with co-workers. It was 11am. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Friendly staff. We all noticed the food was lukewarm. There were also no sesame chicken, moo goo gai pan, Kung Pao, shrimp dishes, teriyaki, or honey shrimp; & boring selection of sushi rolls. Lots of cold items: fruit, desserts, peel and eat shrimp, ice cream. What stood out the most was the temperature of the food. Did they not just cook it? Turn up the warmers! There are 2 Chinese buffet in Springdale that we frequently go to, Panda and Golden Dragon. Both are mediocre, but they serve their purpose. Gorge on food for an extremly reasonable price! We go to Panda if we are having a seafood craving. They are so cheap. I usually eat crab legs (which it would better if they are hot), mussels, shrimp, crawfish, and steak. I just wish that the crawfish would be cooked with more seasoning. But, the mussels here are the best!!! So, between here and Golden Dragon, if we want crab legs, mussels, or steak, we go here. If we want sushi or crawfish, we go to Golden Dragon. By the way, the service here is way better. The servers are more attentive and friendlier than Golden Dragon. read more

Okay, I tried this place based on the good reviews. There were very few, but they were good.... I have to say, I was disappointed. What were you guys thinking? The restaurant is beautiful, the staff was very friendly. The buffet was well attended to, none of the food was languishing during dinner, everything looked pretty fresh.... But that does not mean it was good. It was certainly different. You all know exactly what standard American Chinese food looks and tastes like. The take on those same items here was a little bit different. Similar, but not the same. And, not different in a bad way at all. They just seem to choose slightly different ingredients along the way. But the end result wasn't really good. Not terrible. Just not good. I did appreciate that they had the standard Chinese American spareribs on the buffet during dinner. That one item is a reminder of my childhood, and I don't see it as frequently as I used to. No way in heck that this is a five-star restaurant. I used to like panda. I'm not picky or hard to please when it comes to Chinese buffets. I know they aren't going to be 5 star food. And panda used to be a solid 7/10 but the last time me and my wife went the food was bland. Like I don't even know what was different. The food looked the same. Just didn't taste anywhere close to good. Even the crab rangoons that used to be delicious were just bland. Like even salt would make it taste better.
