The bad reviews for this location must be from people who have never worked in the service industry, much less fast food. Be patient with staff. Everyone is short staffed everywhere. The employees here were constantly hustling to crank out food in the kitchen. If they are temporarily out of a menu item, instead of getting annoyed or frustrated, just ask them the anticipated time of the item being ready. All of my food was fresh and hot. The line was long on a Saturday night. Both inside and the drive through. What else would you expect for a Saturday night in the middle of summer? I ordered a family pack for the first time. For $32 you get 2 large sides and 3 large entrees. As well as several fortune cookies. Upon arriving home, I did notice that my entrees were incorrect. It's so sad I was very excited to have this panda express in my neighborhood. Every time I go there they are constantly out of menu items now it's at the point that I'll never go back. I just went through the drive-through it's 9 PM they close at 10 and they were out of pretty much all their protein. Now I know it's kind of busy there throughout the day but there's times I've come there at 4 PM and they were out of menu items. I'm not sure Who is managing the store but if they worked for me they would no longer have a job. This place is hit or miss and usually it's a miss. Closest Panda to us so we just deal with it but we eat here less than we would if it was run properly. Most of the time the food is over or under cooked. Crunchy rice/egg over cooked. I've had under cooked orange chicken more than once. Cheese rangoon is usually over cooked. They used to have lines out past the parking lot that took 30-40 minutes to get through until people figured out it was the norm and stopped coming. That's good for us because it takes less time now but I'm nervous they're going to go out of business. read more

I've ate at a lot of Panda Express restaurants across Florida and even out of state. This is legitimately the worst Panda Express location. I always have a bad experience when I visit, sad reality because I loved the idea of having a Panda Express so close to home. A while back I even witnessed two employees arguing back and forth because there wasn't any communication as the other employees laughed and instigated. Very unprofessional, that's besides constantly having to wait over an hour for my order. Another thing, orange chicken is the most famous menu item they have and every time I come they're out of it, you would think that something that popular would always be available. Let me start by saying, I had to reheat my food when I got home and live 3 minutes away from this establishment. The MOD, Jean, was working and offered to fix everything even though I went through the drive thru. The girls working that night (2/15/24) were unbelievably rude and unfortunately Jean couldn't give me their names to leave on this review. When I asked questions about what I was ordering, through the drive thru, they had no answer and I could hear them laughing while I was still ordering. I asked for extra soy sauce and they said to ask at the window when I got my food but it took "10-15 mins" and saw them take it from the same tins they use the whole night while I was sitting there after they asked me to move towards the front door to "wait" for my order. When I finally got whatever was left there and asked one of the girls if they put extra soy sauce, she dismissed me and ran back into the restaurant laughing still. I came in to ask for extra soy sauce because, after checking the bag, there wasn't any extra, one of the kitchen guys was nice enough to hand me some since none of the girls working would acknowledge me or the customers waiting. I went and put it back in the car and went back in to voice my concerns and I luckily saw Jean and he at least listened and offered to fix it or give coupon... I didn't need nor want a coupon but they for sure need to get their staff together. Meanwhile, while I'm talking to jean, all the girls working were busy listening to what I was saying instead of taking care of the customers that were in there waiting. This was at 9:30, when they close at 10:30 apparently. Needless to say, I definitely won't be back and hope something happens for them to be better or for there to be any other place there. It has been a regular occurrence that they can only take cash at the drive-thru. Very inconvenient. Apparently the point of sale terminals for dine-in work ok. So you have to go inside if you don't have cash. Apparently, it is too inconvenient for them to walk over to another terminal for a drive-thru credit transaction. So on November 22nd, 2022, I visited the Panda Express on Hwy 27 in Davenport, FL. I have always had the best of experiences at Panda Express (not this one) until this particular evening. I arrived at 8:30pm in time before the store closes at 9pm. I waited in line to place my order after the couple in front of me and my wife ordered. My wife got the last of the Beijing Beef and I asked the girl behind the counter for the same. This was at 8:40pm. I was then told that they would not cook any more and the kitchen was closed. Those were her words and not mine. I was amazed and just walked out and decided to call to talk to the manager. I was told be the lady on the phone that there was no manager present at the time and she was the person in charge. When I mentioned that I came in and asked for my order she proceeded to tell me that their policy is to make to order if they are out after a certain. This infuriated me as it was quite evident that there was no communication between the staff at this store or even worse they didn't want to do it as they just wanted to close up and go home. But in the end I had one person saying one thing and another something completely different. I've never known such poor communication from a Panda Express and wonder how long this has been going on. I usually eat at Panda Express for lunch when this would not be an issue. If I had been told this by the person serving up front then I would have stayed and ordered my dinner but because of poor communication and leadership, it was not to be. All I can say is unbelievably poor customer service and communication. I'm so glad the Winter Haven , FL store is nothing like this one. I think this stores management need to get to grips with what is going on internally. I sent a message to the main Panda Express Facebook site and got an apology from them explaining that this is not their policy but have not heard anything back from the store itself. The attitude of the associates were awful. Extremely rude and slow as can be. You can just tell they don't care. To top it all off I finally paid, walked to my car and then the cashier was knocking on my window. She said my card didn't go through. So I had to walk back inside and the pin pad said "waiting for cashier" so I said to her "so is this a you problem or mine?" She said she didn't know.
