This is a true testament of the fine quality of all their baked goods. While a bit more expensive than some other patisseries, I have found none other that have the flakiest empanadas, or those with the highest quality fillings. I particularly like the mushroom and cheese ones. All the other sweet goods are baked equally well. I find that now that I have tasted their offerings it is difficult to go anywhere else.

This place by far has the BEST PITA BREAD in the city.. comparable to that in Middle Eastern country. This place is the quintessential Argentinian bakery. The bakery opens early at 5AM and sometimes…read moreyou may have to arrive kind of early to beat the morning rush or to get the churros which sell out daily. I am serious I came here 3-4 days in a row and I could never get my hands on those darn churros. They must be filled with crack, because they sell out quick! The bakery offers cakes, tarts, pies, and cookies, but the real deal in my opinion are the pastries. You can just grab a basket and some tongs and they have a whole wall with an assortment of fattening yummies to choose from. I loved the ones filled with Dulce de leche or with cream. But you can also grab regular croissants or pastries filled with fruit jam. They are only 6 pesos, so at the moment that means 3 pastries are about 1 US dollar. That is a deal anywhere in the world! You can order breakfast sandwiches as well, but I was always in it for the pastries. Paying the cashier was a little strange and the servers didn't seem all that friendly, but I can overlook it considering how busy they always seem to be. Stop by and eat some pastries and remember to look out for those churros!
