She made an appt but put it in Shadyside where I can't get to, then scheduled it at Mercy on the 30th when it sounded like she said the 13th and I can't do the 30th. Then waited longer before doctor came in. Nurse brought 2 student nurses in and explained in detail what instruments and how they would be used in front of patient who was already worried about procedure. Remember the patient has limited IQ. Then took a private call on phone as, don't really care where she's having dinner. Appointment was over 3 hours long and actual time of being seen or heard was less than 30 minutes.

While I don't have cataracts, it sounds like Dr. Gounder does cataract monitoring and surgeries for them and REALLY enjoys doing so (he was very excited talking about it). It is rare to see a doctor so happy and care so much about his job -- I would definitely recommend coming here if you want a doctor that takes the time to listen!

Called and made an appointment for general eye examination and new glasses (lost mine), verified…read moreover the phone if they took my insurance...was assured they did...I showed up for the appointment Gave them my insurance card which they scanned then made me wait 40 minutes in the waiting area only to take me back... start the exam....then tell me they don't take my insurance and and stopped the exam which they offered to continue if I paid cash. Sounds like a scam to me and if not, it's a horrible, disgusting, tacky, ignorant way to treat anyone!!! maybe learn how to verify insurance before the person sitting in your chair next time
