Also charged us for a deadbolt lock that was already installed on the bedroom door by the previous tenant for $100. Charged us for blinds that were "missing" when they were taken down undamaged and in the closet of that same room. Then charged us a cleaning fee of 200 plus dollars after we spent a week cleaning out the apartment. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I lived in a pretty sweet place near Forsyth Park, but it was old and had seen the wear of time. I had my DOORKNOB fall off on my front door more than once, making me unable to leave the house (Christ!). The side panels of my fridge door (where you store condiments and drinks, y'know) was broken off and I asked if they could replace them. What they told me was, "If you were paying a little more for a nicer place, we could oblige, but you're just in that price range where we can't do anything." WHATTT, 'scuse me? I wasn't going to fight over a fridge door, but it was a pretty shitty attitude for property management. At the same time, the people who lived in the place before me had left horrible paint jobs, and I asked them to paint over the walls when I first moved in because I was afraid they'd blame it on me and steal my deposit when I moved out--and they did repaint after three or four calls. I kind of wished I received better treatment since I paid my rent EARLY every month, but I guess that's just how Mopper-Stapen rolls.

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I hired them to manage my property when I moved…read moreaway. To begin, they never answer the phone and hardly respond to emails after they're hired. My house was destroyed under Capstone's care and I was billed for repairs that didn't happen. Capstone concealed horrendous damage from me and showed potential tenants the house in terrible condition after the previous tenant was evicted. After months of nobody wanting to rent it, I hired someone to do a walkthrough and discovered what had happened. I fired Capstone. I informed the owner, Ellen Adams and showed proof of the extensive damage and costs, which she ignored. Despite numerous requests, Capstone won't give me the documents relating to our contract, in violation of 2010 GA Code 43-40-25, 33.2 A, B, & C. Avoid Capstone, and the owners Ellen and Lindsey Adams at all costs. They have cost me thousands of dollars through negligence and lies.

Review about office staff only:…read more My husband & I rolled out to Capstone to check out some properties and I dunno if the dark haired woman who helped us was having a bad day or what. It was clear she had zero interest in helping us, answered questions with slightly condescending replies and in the end tops my charts for unhelpful this week. "Okay, well these properties, see where it says September 1st? That means I can't show it to you without an appointment with the tenant." "Okay, well, we're in town from LA until tomorrow, could you see about setting up an appointment?" "We aren't open on the weekend." "Okay....could you call and see if we could setup appointments today then please?" Never happened and didn't care to follow up. The two properties we looked at were VERY contrasting. One had old world charm but no one from management has stopped by and the entry way had weeks of mail scattered and piled up everywhere, but it was certainly cute. The other was definitely run down and it concerned me about touching anything. It's clearly been vacated awhile but they haven't cleaned the carpets or anything. Whatever, I guess it's not the property managements responsibility...but what there responsibility is, is to treat possible tenants with a modicum of decency and at least ONE SMILE. But nope! If that's how they treat random folks off the street I would be concerned how tenant complaints are met.

Absolutely horrible company to try to do business with. I feel sorry for both landlords and…read moretenants; especially landlords who rely on this company to place tenants in their properties. My wife and I came across a 2/2 condo advertised for rent on both Zillow and their own website. Not only did we complete the form on their website asking for an appointment to see it, we also wrote emails and telephoned their office for more than a week to no avail. No contact whatsoever, even though I had mentioned that we were willing and able to pay for a year's lease upfront ($42k). We even showed up at their office on Liberty St., but there were no employees in the office that day, a Tuesday. The apparently affiliated realty personnel in the connected office next door took down our names and phone numbers to pass on to Coastline staff whenever they ultimately deigned to come to work. Finally, after all that, I received an email a day later asking me when I would like to make an appointment. I wrote back stating that we were available to see it ASAP or at their convenience. Another day passed by before I received a follow-up email telling me that the condo was no longer available as "the boss" accepted an application the night before. Absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea if that applicant subsequently signed a lease or not, but in any case, I've moved on (no pun intended). I won't look to rent any listing by Coastline and I feel sorry for anyone who has the misfortune of having to interact with this unprofessional company.
