    I've always wondered about doing floating, and since I had a little free time and needed to clear…read moremy head, I gave Jax-Zen a shot. I booked a package with an hour massage and a 90 minute float and came in. The massage alone was a great way to chill out, but soon it was time to head over to the float room. You put in earplugs and shower, then climb into the tank and float effortlessly. Soon, the music fades out, the lights turn off, and it's just you in your birthday suit in the tank. And here's where it gets kind of trippy. The first thing I noticed was hearing my heartbeat. That kind of freaked me out, so I started concentrating on breathing. That worked. I floated, I concentrated on my breaths, and pretty soon whatever stuff that was stressing me out was forgotten. Next thing I knew the music faded up and it was time to climb out. I'm sure I can find a place to float back home, and I'm sure I can find a place where I can book a massage and a float, but only here will you also find an art space where people are just creating stuff. They also offer yoga and painting classes. The shower spaces were very clean as well as the tubs for floating. Everyone was very helpful and nice. So floating is like being in a tanning booth except its a mini pool. Its dark inside but they do offer a cube that lights up. The meditation music playing in the background was very relaxing. I prayed and meditated the entire time.
