Cannot recommend. This is not a Bernina authorized dealer. I learned the hard way. Took my 750 in for service... 3 months and $349 later it still did not work properly. Any warranty available is void per Bernina corporate due to PALS service. Very rare that tech Casey will return a phone call. read more

I had an excellent experience. Took in an older (but never used) Singer that a friend gave me to be sure it was in good shape so I could start using. I haven't sewn for a long time. They said it was just fine and very kindly sat me down to review how to set things up and how to run it. Very patient. Took their time. Without charging me for their time. I did buy a few bobbins and thread. They have all kinds of new sewing machines with much better quality than mine. They looked more solid than mine and did not look too expensive to me. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled. I was looking for a trustworthy establishment to service my machine, and they exceeded my expectations. It was a smooth process, no upselling. The service I received was a bit longer than the original estimate, but that wasn't an issue for me. I called a couple establishments to get a good idea of what the cost would be for a service, and their price was the same as the other establishments I called. $120 is a great deal to have a professional clean and oil your machine in my opinion. I have driven past this place a million times and randomly went in to inquire about replacing a hose to my vacuum. The person who greeted me was very helpful. In just talking about this Hoover vacuum I purchased from Target under a year ago, he let me know all Hoover's come with a 3yr warranty. Additionally, PAL's is a certified Hoover repair partner. I was able to pull up my Target purchase history and fill in all the information for the repair. The gentleman let me know it would be 6-8 weeks and to expect that they would swap my unit out entirely. 3 weeks later they called to let me know I could pick up my NEW vacuum :) great service all the way around! read more

I love this store! I bought my first Riccar Vacuum here almost 20 years ago. (It still works) but I just went back since it was time for an upgrade on my starter sewing machine. What a great selection of machines from top quality brands! I was blown away to see the numerous quality machines throughout the store. Very inviting and though there were a slew of machines, I didn't feel overwhelmed. I knew whatever machine I bought here would be quality and amazing! I called several sewing machine shops before settling on this one for my beloved very old Babylock serger. The first shop I tried told me that the service tech was on vacation for two weeks so I'd have to wait at least 3-4 weeks to get it serviced. That wasn't going to work. So I called this shop and they suggested I bring Babylock in and they could repair it. I knew what it needed so I went. First off the shop is really a mess. That was disconcerting to me because how do you manage a business with stuff all over the place? And I mean all over the place. There was no organization at all. The very nice guy took a look at my machine and immediately went to work. He repaired it while I waited and charged a very nominal fee. I kept asking him if he wanted more cash to repair it and he said no. I really liked this shop for sewing machine repair because he has a lot of experience and knows sewing machines (and apparently vacuums too) but wish he'd clean up the shop. . . it was difficult to navigate through and you really can't see the machines he has on the floor. He stocks vacuums, vacuum bags, long arm quilting machines, sewing, quilting and serger sewing machines with Janome brand accessories galore. Value looked to be very good and competitive with other stores and of course his fee to repair was crazy low. Good find! Especially compared to the other shops that weren't able to handle the repair. read more

I am so glad that I stopped at PAL's Sewing & Vacuum Center. I was having a problem with the handle of my Pfaff sewing machine. Somehow the pin had come loose and the handle wasn't attached properly. Casey helped me right away. He turned the sewing machine upside down, found the pin, and reattached the handle on the spot. Then I couldn't use my machine at all. So I had to take it in again, this time back to Pals. Casey explained why the other place didn't fix it. It was hard to get at. My 55 year old Singer sewing machine broke 3/4 of the way through finishing my granddaughter's Halloween costume. We're flying in 3 days to the East Coast to visit her, and to deliver the costume. The repair wasn't complicated (the needle mechanism came apart). The first store I tried said it was too busy to even look at it. The second store didn't handle one-off problems but said my machine could be sent out to undergo a $200 make-over, including fixing the part, and the machine would be ready in 3 weeks. Then I went to Pal's. A very nice man spent about 10 minutes fiddling with the parts and said, "Done. No charge." First of all, your staff's attitude has a huge problem. He didn't explain all of what you typed on Yelp. He just kelp saying "I have no idea. " almost ten times when we asked him any questions. Second, he did say Hoover sent the second vacuum to us in the beginning, but! He said he repaired all vacuum in the store later. (I have voice record) if you were me, how do you think?? Only liar would say two different stories, right? AND, I always brought my purchase receipt with me, But, he didn't want to see!! And we pick up just a vacuum without factory sealed box, only machine! We trusted you, so we didn't check the sticker at that time. Finally, yes, because I didn't get what I deserve to get, I already contact to Hoover and get what I should get. (they said whatever my machine is now, I always have my 2 years warranty with receipt!) But I am still very mad about your customer service and your staff's HORRIBLE attitude. I needed my sewing machine serviced after taking it to a different OC repair shop just a couple years ago. The sewing machine mechanic at PAL's did an excellent job on my old but reliable New Home (Janome) 7500. I know this machine like the back of my hand, and it is finally sounding exactly the way it should. I really appreciate that they didn't just blow it off with a compressor and hand it back with and expensive invoice. Instead, I know they really went through the whole thing and repaired the problem I was having with the motor. PAL's will be my go-to from now on. The shop is a bit of a cluttered mess (minus 1 star for that), but the service is great. So just ignore the mess and tell them what you need. :) read more

What a fabulous family owned business! They are so friendly, when I called to enquirer about a repair or maintenance on my machine they encouraged me to come in so they could have a look. When I went in they were welcoming, quick and efficient. Their knowledge of sewing machines blew my mind as did the selection of machines they had there. I was so incredibly happy with pals. Peter took my call, as I was trying to determine if I could fix the brush roll which had stopped working on my shark vacuum. He explained this would not be worth the repair and knew a lot about the parts for each manufacturer. He suggested I come in the store and he had sale models to look at. I was absolutely in heaven, there were so many vacuum cleaners to choose from, but I explained I had cats and needed something really strong. Peter was able to show me to the best model which would work for me. I was able to test it and he even rubbed fur-like material all over the carpet so I could test the vacuum right there in the shop. My purchase came with free service for three years and he even threw in something extra. I was also pleasantly surprised he walked the vacuum out and help me put it in the car. Great guys. I brought a vacuum cleaner in and they troubleshot it while I was standing there. They told me the problem, which was minor. They didn't charge me and sent me on my way. How great is that? They could've easily kept my vacuum cleaner and charged me for something I did not need. I would've never known the difference. Dyson vacuums suck. No, they don't suck the way the dude on the commercial says they will suck...."never lose suction" my ass. They suck in the way that they are pieces-of-crap kind of suck. But, thankfully, there is Pal's Vacuum. I don't know who Pal is, but someone named Peter helped restore my sucky Dyson to a level of semi-suck. And he did it quickly, too. I'm confused about all the glowing reviews. I am absolutely convinced Pals Vacuum just burned me and I'm considering going to the better business bureau. I had an expensive vacuum that was broken, they said it needs cleaned and unclogged for 160.00 (high prices!!!). Pals called me later and said there was water damage to the circuit board that needs to be fixed for another 100.00. Sounds fishy so I start asking questions..... Which circuit board, there are 3 in Dysons? "Don't know, I'll fix what needs fixing, he said." How much of that is parts and labor? "It costs what it costs, he replied." Well, can I have a receipt that breaks down parts and labor and what you've fixed so I can be reimbursed from the person who broke it? "Sure," says Pals with a bad attitude like they are doing me a favor. When I went to pick it up Pals refused to give me a breakdown; they gave me a handmade receipt that you would find it a mom and pop cafe. There was no breakdown on the receipt; it was the arbitrary price that they wanted to charge me (NOT LEGAL!). The worst part is that when I went to use my vacuum attachment hose and there was dust, dirt, and hair ball from BEFORE I went to Pals. Which means that the 160.00 cleaning and unclogging that I bought wasn't done well. I know vacuum repair is hard to find now-a-days but try to find somewhere else. Don't go to Pal's. read more
