Dr. Spady…read morecomes into the room with another person, explains it is a medical student and requests my permission for him to sit in, which I grant. We go through the "physical", which he didn't properly and completely perform; I think the only thing he did was listen to my heart on the stethoscope. He provided no guidance as to what was being done or why. After some small talk and dancing his pointer fingers around the keyboard for about 7 minutes (most of the time; no clue what he was doing) he gets up and starts walking out of the room. I'm confused and apparently he is "done", though he didn't provide any verbal guidance or cues (e.g. "Well, everything looks good, etc"). I say, "Well, there are a couple of other things I'd like to discuss if possible." And he says, "Oh oh, okay, sorry about that", as he comes back into the room. After discussing some other issues, I realize Dr. Robert Spady hasn't won any awards for attentiveness. His back is to me the entire time and most of the time he's typing away on his keyboard into his terminal. Understanding I'm going to have to get real specific and assertive with my own medical care, I requested that we do a full blood work and analysis, including cholesterol and a few other standard screens. He informs me that because I hadn't fasted I'll have to come back for the cholesterol. I say, "No problem, lets the do the remainder today and I'll come back for the cholesterol". He agrees. We part ways, I'm actually done at this point, though he seems to be rushing to get to his next patient. I'm not feeling very confident. I go to the receptionist to "checkout". I discover that she is not aware of the blood work that is supposed to be drawn that day. For some reason, I couldn't get the blood taken right then and their and had to make an "appointment" to get my blood drawn. Never in my life has that happened. Okay, so I make an appointment and basically realize this appointment was pretty much a waste of my time but I decide to stay on the horse, crossing my fingers. I had also received a referral to the Urologist across the hall. When I ask her about the referral, she says, "Well, I can write something up for you or you can just walk over to their office right now". She obviously wasn't in the mood to do her job, so I agree to walk over directly and make my appointment. Once in the Urologists office, I explain the referral and she states that she needs a "referral form" from Dr. Spady's office before she can even make an appointment. I'm scratching my head and state, "Surely his receptionist didn't just send me over blindly knowing that was required." I walk back over to Dr. Spady's office to inform the receptionist of the prerequisite necessary to make my appointment. Again, clearly not in the mood she states, "Well, I won't be able to give you that form until at least this afternoon". No one else was in the office. Again, I'm wondering if I'm in the twilight zone at this point. The next morning I go back to get my actual blood drawn, which goes without a hitch. Two weeks later I still haven't received a phone call with my results, nor a letter in the mail, nothing. I call to ask about the results of the blood work, and I find that most of what I requested was not even performed and that I would have to come in yet again to have blood drawn. They also stated they have no intention of proactively informing the patient of any test results. Good to know. So I go in again, they take my blood and after a week I have to give them a call to request my result be mailed. Morning of my Urology referral appointment, I call to ask if Dr. Spady's office sent my medical records. They did not. Furthermore she state on the phone that my condition isn't even treated by a Urologist. Appt canceled. Thanks Dr. Spady. At this point I'm not very surprised and realize how much time I've wasted with a seemingly incompetent physician, Dr. Spady and Total Health Physician Group. Avoid like the plague.

Angeline Smith has messed up my entire healthcare so badly. She has responded to so many of my…read moremychart messages with "I don't know about that." She has sent me referrals to places with inaccurate information. I have been waiting for FIVE WEEKS for her to fill out ONE PAGE front and back of a medical form that my HR is requesting. She filled it out once completely incorrectly with medical information that was inaccurate and not at all what we'd discussed, so I dropped off a new form to be corrected and wrote a letter describing exactly what I need. She MyChart messaged me that she would do it the first Friday after I'd dropped it off, great. I called the following Tuesday after not hearing anything, they said it is not done and Angie will be out all week. OK . The 3rd week, it didn't get done even though I called and MyChart messaged. The 4th week, it got done and I went to pick it up and she had only filled out the front of the form, not the back. She also filled out my PFML paperwork without any dates- showing incompetence. I had to return these to get redone AGAIN on a Tuesday, they told me the forms would get corrected before the end of that week. The 5th week, I called to see if it's done. She is once again out for the entire week and they say it'll get done next week, but who knows at this point. Lastly, she had to leave the room DURING the procedure to remove my nexplanon because she dropped the scalpel and couldn't find a new one. She was talking the entire time, it hurt and I was nervous and bleeding while she was out of the room to find out where scalpels were. Who isn't familiar with their own procedure room?? Completely unprofessional. Dr. Cargill was great. But I would not recommend anyone with any sort of medical complexity or chronic illness see Angeline Smith ever, worst care I have ever received.

During my most recent experience with them I was mis-diagnosed and then accused of being aggressive when I politely questioned if the new diagnosis wasn't correct either. They also became angry that I sought a second opinion after they told me to do so. Over the course of several months and two providers they have been unable to write a referral that will be accepted by a specialist and have become angry when I asked them to review the reasons for the rejections. I have asked them to make a note about my anxiety in my chart multiple times and been ignored. They refused to even see my partner because they are on ADHD medication and made odd comments in the notes about me bringing my partner to appointments, so don't believe the statements about LGBT inclusivity. I will likely be dismissed from the practice for writing this review. Also they may be limiting reviews on Facebook as I'm unable to crosspost there.

He told me that wouldn't prevent deposits from dislodging and causing problems (true enough). Within three months of taking the medication, I had a severe Achilles tendon injury and developed acute pain in both of my shoulders and elbows. I've never had these issues before. Adkins mentioned nothing about these very common side-effects. In addition, when I talked about a separate, "sensitive" issue, his tone changed, and I felt very uncomfortable--judged might be a better term. Furthermore, although I had told the receptionist about several issues I was having when I made my appointment, Adkins cut me off after only 15 min., and I was not able to discuss my other health issues. I was asked to make another appointment. The only available slot was in three months and would be another co--pay and insurance billing. Had I been given better information, I would have put off taking a statin until I was older and less active. I also have questions about why some of my issues were not billed as "preventative" when they clearly were. Needless to say, I have changed doctors. I do not recommend Dr. Adkins. I'm switching to direct primary care. PS. I don't blame Dr. Adkins fully for all of this. I also blame a failing health care systemin which he works.
