I love to grab a sandwich from the deli (the fried pork chop sandwich is great) I've also bought ribeye steak from their meat counter to grill at home. They are fittin'!! Best steaks I've eaten in a long time. Owners are friendly and helpful and it's great to have this lil ole country store in the middle of nowhere.

When driving into the mart they have a nice clean parking lot but they serve no gas there. They have a hot dog special 3 hotdogs for $5 . Which is a good deal especially because they are walking distance from the high school. You have a choice to get beef or pork. I chose pork because I can't eat a lot of beef. The service was good . A nice quiet older lady that said can I help you-was at the counter They have a sign near the food that says order here. They only have one table in there I guess you could eat there or scratch off lottery tickets . The hot dogs were tasty I can't complain I ate it all . A few people were waiting in line to get hotdogs so you can see they are popular. My only reason not to give them a five because I ordered mine without chili and when I got out side to my car it had chili on mine my husband ordered all the way. But all in all they filled the hunger in your stomach. I would recommend and return if I'm in the neighborhood.

My bestie, who lives in Florence, had heard about this place and was hoping to try it out. After…read moresome geocaching adventures, we used GPS to find Kaleen's Homemade Favorites. It's a cute little shop, with sandwiches, cakes, dips, appetizers, all sorts of homemade goodies ready to take with you. The menu also has a selection of casseroles, lunches and dinners. The cakes are HUGE! We settled on buying a red velvet cake. It was a bit pricey at $32 BUT it was so dang heavy, we asked if it was perhaps frozen?? It wasn't. While checking out, the lovely people behind the counter offered us a sample of the chicken salad. To me, chicken salad is good, but I can't say I've ever had chicken salad that blew my socks off... UNTIL THEN! Mmmmmm it was VERY good. It's been months and I still remember how incredibly tasty the chicken salad tasted. I'll be honest, I didn't say anything, but I'm hit or miss when it comes to red velvet so I was hesitant. Sometimes red velvet can taste bitter or just not good. My friend really wanted that one so I kept quiet. Boy am I glad I did! It was literally the most amazing red velvet cake I've ever tried. It's VERY rich so a small slice will do you (which means the cake will feed more!). Even as rich as it was, I was like a crackhead, wanting just a bit more. Since my friend lives solo, she insisted I take some cake with me. I should have taken more!!! I try not to live life with regrets, but that's one regret for 2015. :( My daughter will tell you she does NOT like red velvet. I forced her to close her eyes, and take a bite. She LOVED it! She scarfed down the slice I brought for her and wanted more. As I mentioned earlier, this was months ago and I still think about how great the cake and chicken salad tasted. I was shocked to see Kaleen's hadn't been created on Yelp yet! If you're anywhere nearby, STOP AT KALEEN'S! Totally worth it.
