One whole hour was spent in an incredible lightning and thunderstorm. If the captain had even offered a shorter tour that would have been preferable to having us out in the water in a dangerous situation. Disappointed they would not work with us to reschedule when it would have been safe weather.

Zach piloted the boat up the ICW while Janine narrated the journey sharing information on the history of the area along with pointing out who owned many of the homes. Return trip they reversed roles and both of them were happy to field all out questions. So, yes this was fun and adventurous afternoon.

When my family was embarking on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce my own kids to the Jungle Queen. It's a short boat ride that takes you through the canals behind the mansions and quasi-famous homes on the water. Your guide on board will tell you about the homes and landmarks you pass en route. There is a bar on board, so no need to sail sober! LOL There are also a few snacks for purchase. The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride. We really enjoyed our trip, but I'm deducting one star due to the boat traffic (which I know they cannot really help). Maneuvering around all the other drunks in their watercraft was kind of a drag.

Instead of taking a moment to lower the music, gather our attention, and give scripted information with volume and detail. In addition because it wasn't Season there weren't any mega yaughts to see. Now we took the cruise advertising mimosa and soda but they were out of almost all the soda with just ginger ale left, that's poor planning and stocking. Disappointed and it was not as advertised.

Unfortunately, the initial welcome wasn't great. We weren't really greeted--just asked for our names so we could receive a card to board the boat. The woman helping us continued chatting with her coworker and looking at her phone while assisting us, which felt a bit dismissive. The weather was beautiful and the views around the harbor were fantastic, making for a really relaxing cruise. Jeff, the bartender, was a highlight of the trip. He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the harbor. He even took a couple of photos for my husband and me, which we really appreciated. Overall, while the check-in experience could definitely be more welcoming and attentive, the cruise itself was enjoyable thanks to the scenery and the great service from Jeff at the bar.

From the moment we arrived and were escorted to the dock to the moment we left at the end of the day. We chose to have catered food from them and they did a great job with that as well. The boat captain and first mate were great. They took us wherever we wanted to go within reason. We did the full day rental. The conditions were perfect. We had a fuel credit as well so got a partial refund on that. We highly recommend Saveene for your families special occasion.

On the date of the Captain called off the cruise, rightfully so because there were thunder storms and waves up to six feet (quoting what he said). When I asked for my refund, they sent me their policy for cancelled trips, as if the trip were cancelled through in fault of my own. They went on to say that they incurred costs because the captain set sail to pick me up before calling it off. They wont let me speak to any management, and wont refund my money. Im literally in the process of filing a case in civil court against these people. Unless you want to be held accountable for the weather, or potentially have to fight for thousands of dollars (over $2k in my case) then find another company to deal with. We also thoroughly enjoyed our shore excursions, and the embarkation and disembarkation process was surprisingly smooth and easy, making the entire experience stress-free. If we lived closer to Tampa, we'd be booking a cruise on the Islander every month!
