We picked up some German beer steins, some egg coddlers, a book and a few other odds and ends, all at reasonable prices. Yes, some things seemed overpriced but most were fair. It makes for a nice date to grab a coffee then spend a few hours browsing. The staff are always super friendly and very helpful. There is a lot of great stuff in here but unfortunately the vast majority or sellers are charging way way too much. Some sellers are reasonable but most seem to be price gouging. I mean we are talking like $900 for a rocking chair that is broken as an example. If folks were willing to pay these prices they would just buy new. I have managed to find some reasonably priced items of clothing and furniture, but often found that if I found something I kind of liked, I never liked it enough to pay the asking price. It's clear that others feel the same as many of the booths had all of the same exact items they had 3 months ago. Most need to bring their prices down by 30-50% tbh. I have enjoyed window shopping here but probably will go elsewhere from here on out.

My friend and I had a great time looking through all their beautiful gems. I loved their collection of vintage silk scarfs from Japan. They're of stunning quality and vibrant colors. They have jewelry, formal dresses, coats, shoes, art work, decor items, greeting cards and books. There is also a downstairs section of kids furniture, with the most adorable tiny desk, books, and little girls dresses. There was a pair of little girls Mexican sandals, that I just wish I had a little girl in my life to get them for. This store is so beautifully styled, that alone is a masterpiece. There was one lady working, I'm not sure if she's the owner, she said I could try on anything I like. I looked at a pair of really fun earrings, but they were clip ons, and a bit too big for me, so I passed. She went over all the fabric selections with us and made an appointment to come to our house to review the placement and order before we actually ordered. While at our house she said we should get one chair for that area not 2 as we planned. She also suggested getting extra fabric since we have a cat and, well we know how cats scratch furniture. She also explained the protection programs which I never would have gotten had I not known how reasonable they were and what they covered. When the furniture arrived Dawn made an appointment to come to the house again. She brought the fabric we had ordered and went over furniture placement with us. She moved a few pieces and wow what a difference her eye made. She suggested what else we needed to finish the room including rug sizes (and she brought samples for us to see) and lamp heights. I knew I couldn't just take home because the item was heavy as heck and if I took home I would put off and procrastinate. Wilson is centrally located on Washington ave north haven. Owner graciously met me downstairs, removed item from my car and took the time to inspect the item and point out the "gem" I procured as he compared my lounge to the "prefab won't-last-five-years chaise lounges of today. He asked questions on where the item will be stored (high traffic va low traffic areas of home) and when i answered he provided a plethora of fabrics to consider. Most importantly, he did NOT expect full payment that day! Whew!! What a relief. Starting a new business is expensive so not having to make full payment before work commenced made my day.
