The owner has been so thoughtful with anything you could imagine you might need in the room. Kitchen with stove, microwave and dishwasher with towels, plates, silverware and cooking utensils. Spacious living room with smart TV so you can Netflix, prime or Apple +. You will find chessboard and cards in the drawer. Tv table has books, magazines, writing paper along with pens and pencils. Bedroom is large with a writing table. There are two bathrooms and one has a bidet. Three sets of windows open to the quiet courtyard with a fountain. Everything is close like 20 minutes walk to Trevi, Campo di Fiore or Piazza Navone. Vatican and Colosseum are around 30 minutes walk. The host is very responsive and very helpful. You would be lucky to stay here while visiting Rome!

I stayed here for 5 days at the beginning of summer and found everything I was looking for in this B&B. I wanted the authentic Italian experience without sacrificing modern amenities and got what I wanted. The B&B has 2 floors and only about 8-10 rooms but with the smaller hotel you get better service if you need anything. The rooms are large and very tastefully decorated. My room had a large double bed, balcony that overlooked the inner courtyard and high ceilings. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The owner Bernard is very friendly and attentive. He will advise you on everything you wish to see and do in Rome and will be there to help you with anything you need. He also provides free high speed WiFi to all guests and a free breakfast is provided with your stay at a local modern cafe. Old Roma is very centrally located, just a short walk from the main station in Rome - Termini where you can get the Metro, Train, buses or airport shuttles. When travelling around Rome from this hotel, I would advise walking to the Metro station Vittorio Emanuele as it's closer by foot. Rome is a beautiful city and if like me you won't be spending much time at the hotel and want value for money then I would definitely recommend Old Roma. I will visit Rome again and will using them again if they have vacancies!

Our favorite place to stay in all of Italy…read more Fulvia is fabulous. She could not be more attentive or thoughtful. She makes sure you have everything you need and then some. She will gladly do whatever she can to make your stay as wonderful as possible. She is so down to earth, totally overflowing with sunshine, and will make anyone incredibly comfortable; she truly made Rome that much more of a lovely, fascinating and amazing place for us. To wit: she gave us detailed instructions on how to get there and anywhere we wanted, responded quickly to any questions, printed things for us, checked back throughout breakfast to be sure we had enough of everything, gave us short cuts and insider info (she used to be a tour guide after all), personally made sure to get us settled in and tell us goodbye, she even went so far as to pick flowers and put them in our room for us. Fulvia's rooms are fabulous; modern and efficient use of space with great colors and textures to keep things airy and light. She gave us the choice to move into a bigger room if we wanted (at the same price) but we stayed right where we were because we loved it that much. The rooms are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN with lots of fresh towels and linens. The bed is by far the most comfortable one we slept on compared to everywhere else we stayed. The room is laid out nicely with your own little table and chairs right in front of a generously sized window looking out into Rome. Lots of light when you want it and darkness when you want that too (shutter included). The location is fabulous; very easy to get to from the train station. There's a small grocery store in the train station, a laundromat a street or two over from Casa Romana, a Tabacchi shop literally across the street, restaurants within the same block and it is walking distance to pretty much all of Rome ..... we even walked back from Vatican City - it did take awhile, but we did not die trying to do it. You may occasionally hear sirens, but they never kept us from sleeping or interrupted our good times. (You also may occasionally hear your neighbor's door shut, but again, our sleep nor good times were ever interrupted.) Casa Romana is set up fabulously - 3 rooms and that's it - 3 rooms on the second floor that make up the corner of a building. They are all centered around a small hallway that contains a breakfast nook (complete with kitchenware for everyone to use) where Fulvia places breakfast around 8am each morning. However, you can get up when you want and have your breakfast - no timeframes and no weirdness at a table with uptight strangers. Just roll out of bed, walk 5 steps, grab your food, walk 7 steps back and sit down at your own pretty private table and enjoy! It is exponentially obvious how much Fulvia takes immense pride in Casa Romana - do not miss out on the chance to experience it.

It is within walking distance to the Colosseum and a block from the Metro (Cavour). My only complaint is that the front desk is only manned until 4pm. However, if your flight comes in later you can arrange for them to stay. I just misread the info when I booked. The front desk attendant was very nice and spoke excellent English. Also, I have tokens for a complimentary breakfast at the cafe across the street.

Our room was impeccably clean, and the bathroom the snazziest of our trip with a huge jacuzzi tub, beautiful tile work, and a mountain-top view over all of Rome. The patio area was a lovely spot to read a book and enjoy the view of the adjacent olive vineyard and and the whole of Rome in the distance (if you squint on a clear day, you can see the top of St. Peter's). It was also a reasonable walk to all the sights in Tivoli, which was very useful since parking is a pickle in city center on a busy day. The morning we left, the owner's husband took us on a 30-minute tour of the grounds including a substantial Roman ruin on the hill beneath the hotel. It is believed to have been the palace of Brutus, ergo the name Villa di Bruto. So cool! Absolutely one of the accommodation highlights of the trip, and the staff was phenomenal!

It's beautiful. And the room is lovely with everything you'd need. A water boiler, coffee,tea, lots of outlets and plenty of hangers in the closet! Like maybe 20- which is fabulous since my husband and I often don't have enough. Bathroom was just redone in the Diocletian room where we were and it's perfect. Just a shower, but to that's all we want. Super hot water and great water pressure. Bed is great! Nice and firm which I need, or else I'm like the hunchback of Notre Dame in the morning. I can't stress enough the wonderful location. We flew in around 5 and by 7 we were walking around St Peter's. Lots of great places to eat- one, Ago e Lillo is literally downstairs. Lourdes,who welcomed us,was as kind as could be. She helped orient us with a map and gave us all sorts of useful information. From the massive door to the building,and the tiny old elevator to your great room with a view, you'll be so glad you stayed here.

This place is on the 6th floor of a building and has an elevator. :) when we arrived, we were warmly greeted by one of the owners. He was kind, and quite helpful. He gave us a ton of info about times transits, how to get around, and a few things we may want to do. Our room was clean and neat. Always a good sign. The room has air conditioning, satellite television that comes with some American channels, and a great view of romes St. Peter's Bacilica and the Vatican. One of the cool things, the owner arrives in the morning to make breakfast if you like. He only charges 7,50 euros a person. Which is not bad and you will soon realize is a great price if you decide to go off and venture and find breakfast elsewhere. He offers pastries, and will cook eggs any way you like. :) The hotel is located walking distance from the metro, walking distance from the Omnia card bus hop on, hop off, walking distance from shopping and plenty restaurants, as well as walking distance from St. Peter's and the Vatican. There is also always Taxis lined up a block away. Not a whole lot more to say...fantastic service, clean rooms and bathrooms, a great view of Rome, and central walking distance to most of the big attractions of Rome. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Rome.

There were four of us, so we booked the top floor apartment. It's literally directly over my favorite piazza in Rome and the nightlife is amazing. The Romans are out here talking and mingling. The apartment is clean, newly updated, and the staff amazingly helpful. The best part was the price. For a 4 person 2 room apartment with kitchen, breakfasts included, we paid 1200 euro's for 8 days. You can't get that at a hotel! Nope, and this put is in the center of the action. Beautiful property. Be warned; don't book here (directly over a Piazza and then complain about the atmosphere and noise). If you want silence go stay by the Vatican and the stuffy rich folks. This place is real Rome.
