The servers only spoke Spanish and mune is quite broken, so I did not mind too much. There was really only one server for 8 tables so it service was slow and chaotic. The food was really poor quality though. The soup I chose as a starter was the sopa castellana which was not at all as expected. It was very oily but contained tripe rather than eggs, ham, or any of the typical ingredients. The main I ordered was a hake fish filet. This dish was completely inedible. There was zero seasoning. The fish tasted like it was microwaved. The fish was not flakey but chunky and soggy. There were mussels on top for presentation but most were empty shells and the few that had the meat were far too chewy and did not taste fresh. The skin did not easily separate from the fish meat, which was an issue given the skin was full of scales and could not be eaten. I basically just ate the fries. Unfortunately, would not wish a meal like this on anyone. Easily the worst meal I had in all of Spain. Do not eat here.

However, it is a little hard to get to via car since the streets are limited to local and business vehicles. However, if you're staying at the hotel, they do provide valet parking for your car for 15 Euros per day- which is great as we nearly got fooled by a public parking lot charging 30 euros! There are all kinds of local restaurants and tapas/bars right next to the hotel, all at a reasonable price. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because our room was non smoking, yet it smelled as if a chain smoker was standing inside the living room. Maybe we shared AC vents with another room? Not sure. Other than that, this hotel is one for the books and very much recommended!

Breakfast is with 15€ reasonably priced and Ok, however a bit below expectations for a 5 Star hotel, staff was also a bit sleepy there. Which took a star of the rating for us. In case you come by car: do not forget to reserve a parking space when you do you room reservation. As in most Spanish old towns, regular parking is almost impossible and the parking spaces in the garage are limited. Overall a very good choice for the area.

They also had fluffy robes, slippers and a flat iron as well as a blow dryer. Lots of very hot water for the shower. The location is good and you can easily walk to restaurants and attractions. It would have been perfect except for the sullen, non-smiling staff and the elevator which does not take you directly to the floor. You will need to carry suitcases up a half flight of steep steps - pack lightly.

He asked her about tickets to see a local site and she ended up finding him on WhatsApp and striking up a conversation, it was very unprofessional and very odd. So be aware of "romance" scams if this Petya woman gets a little too friendly during your stay.
