I took the ring that Saturday morning because I was going to ask her while we were camping. I brought it back the first day Nelson's was open again. She never even took it out of the box!!! When we went back to Nelson's to replace it with one she wanted, we found out what taking care of me meant. For those deceitful dishonest ppl it means once we have your money WE HAVE YOUR MONEY!!! When someone says, ah, we'll take care of you it insinuate that if you pay too much we will refund your money. They don't and they know it!! They should have told me about their no return policy instead. You can return something there however, a person only gets store credit! So I had to pick things out of the Jewelry store that equaled the amount I had spent on the wedding band. That was over $2800 worth of crap I didn't want or need! Like I said, when they have your money, IT'S OVER!! I wouldn't tell an enemy to shop there much less a friend. These ppl are greedy, they will lie straight to your face & smile the whole time they're doing it. I let them return it in exchange for a new one, in between then and now I had a change of heart and would rather return the ring and put the money towards something more tangible like fixing my vehicle or paying a hospital bills. Once I asked for a refund, I got the run around stating the most basic manager verbal runaround of "well, we have these policies, and if I approved everyone then everyone would always return jewelry". She even made it a point to state that it's there policy not to return jewelry and "it's your problem now". Offered me in store credit stating "that the holidays were near" or keep the ring. I think she thought that I just wanted the ring for my wedding photos or something. Either way, I'd steer clear of Spirit Lake silver and gold. Their selection is mediocre which is reflective of how they choose to run their business as they clearly don't care about the people that share the town they live in. Poor customer service. I should've listened when the people of Spirit Lake told me not to shop here due to them be a sketchy business in regards to their jewelry being cheap and buying stolen jewelry and reselling it. I live in SC and was getting married in SF where my wife is from and he and his team made the entire process very easy. They sent me videos of all the different types of diamonds we were considering as well as which type of ring the diamond would lay in. My wife, like many women, had a specific idea in mind which I only knew vaguely (wanted to surprise her rather than have her pick it out/know that I was buying a ring) and Alon knew exactly where to go with the little amount of details I gave him along with a description of what my wife likes/doesn't like. It worked, she absolutely loved the ring! When she went back home to pick out her wedding bands a few months prior to the wedding he made sure to immediately take her ring and make it look like the first day she wore it and helped her find the perfect wedding bands that she wanted. All of this was at a very reasonable price. They offered a 12 month interest free finance policy (separate policies for the ring and the bands) which made it very possible and stress-free to pay off everything without interest. Alon gave my wife a lot of great tips on how to best care for her ring and the day before our wedding he made sure to get the ring to clean it again. All in all, it was a great experience and we were very satisfied to work with Alon and his team.
