What I did not know was that the Illustrious Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated -- the ABSOLUTELY BEST sorority ever -- were also having ceremonies that night. Beautiful for them, chaotic for me. I pulled up expecting valet, only to be told valet was reserved exclusively for the AKAs that evening. Now listen... I respect it. If anybody's going to get special treatment, it's the ladies in pink and green. But for me? Whew. That meant I started driving... and driving... and driving. Forty minutes, y'all. FORTY. Between the restaurants, the event, and the already limited parking, it was a full scavenger hunt with no treasure. I finally tried the parking deck -- only to discover it ends abruptly at the top with no turnaround space. No warning signs, no heads-up, nothing. And because it's Girl Scout cookie season, I'm in our extended Escalade. Picture me at the top of this deck, realizing I have to reverse all the way back down. I could've cried. Actually, I did cry. My daughter is in the back asking if she's still going to the party, and I'm trying to be brave while my anxiety is sky-high. I went back to valet, desperate, and they basically said, "It's just a bad night for parking." At this point, I'm ready to cancel everything and go home. I called the front desk and spoke with a woman named Miccah (I hope I'm spelling that right). She was so calm and reassuring. She told me there were 12 underground parking spaces available, so I felt a little better. I drove down there... and there were only two spots left -- both for electric vehicles. And the elevator? Not working. Now I'm underground, no reception, no parking, no elevator, and a 9‑year‑old with me. I drove back up and called Miccah again like, "Girl, just cancel this. I can't do this. I've been circling this place for 40 minutes." And then -- the turning point. She said, "My manager is walking outside right now. He's going to move his car so you can have his parking space." When I tell you Alexander came outside and did EXACTLY that... that man was a blessing. He moved his own car so I could park safely and get my daughter to her sleepover. That is customer service times 1,000. When I checked in, I told him I felt like I was about to pass out. He said, "Ms. Page, don't pass out, don't pass out -- do you need a Coke?" And he actually brought me one. The kindness, the attentiveness, the humanity -- it meant everything after the ordeal I'd just been through. Because of Miccah and Alexander, what started as a nightmare turned into a stay I will never forget. Hilton, keep them. Celebrate them. Promote them. They are the reason I didn't break down in that parking lot. But Hilton... please fix that parking situation. It was truly ridiculous. And to the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated -- the absolutely BEST sorority ever -- congratulations on your ceremonies. Y'all looked beautiful, and I love that the hotel rolled out the pink-and-green carpet for you. I just wish the parking deck had rolled out a little grace for the rest of us too. Thank you to Miccah and Alexander for rescuing my night and making my daughter's first sleepover a success.

Staff would walk by and greet her all the time. We felt right at home here. It was only her second time ever staying in a hotel and the first time was not a good experience. She relaxed instantly here. And when be front desk supervisor, Alexander, found out that my flight wasn't until later in the day. He gave me a late checkout, so I wasn't hanging out in the lobby the whole day with my dog. I absolutely will be staying here again whenever I'm back in Texas.

There is a beautiful water show and trails to walk. This hotel is clean, chic and modern. I like the decor and energy in the lobby. The rooms are amazing because they offer a microwave and refrigerator. The views of the water from your room are incredibly peaceful. The room itself is clean. Plenty of towels, iron and iron board in room. A desk and chair along with another big chair to chill in. The pillows are comfy, but the bed is a bit firm. So it was ok for me, but for others it may be a bit hard. The front desk staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. Alexander the GREAT is an amazing leader. He is so polite, personable, professional and POLISHED. He is a great supervisor and deserves to be recognized. I hope to see him as a manager soon! 5 STARS NICE pool area simple, but cute. Parking can be a challenge, but if you are a little patient you will find a space. I will be back for another staycation. I left happy and smiling. The customer service was excellent. I like that the hotel is half Hilton Garden Inn and the other half is Homewood Suites. The best of both worlds.

I mean the smell was so loud that it appeared a dog had relieved himself on the carpet and no one bothered to clean it up. Of course we requested another room. We were told that dogs can stay in any of the rooms at the property. I think this is a mistake. They should designate certain rooms for dogs. Anyway, our new room was located on the first floor. This room also had a foul smell. It was not as bad as the first room, but still present. I had to go to the store and get cleaning supplies (bleach, pet odor eliminator spray, and deodorizers) to make the room livable for me. I don't understand why a hotel that allows pets would have carpet in the room and upholstered furniture and even walls. All of these items retain odor. The room itself is a nice size with basically a full kitchen. You can request a hot pot from the front desk if you want to prepares a meal in your room. The gym and pool were both open. However, they are not currently serving the traditional breakfast that they offered pre COVID-19. Breakfast is a brown bag with an orange, a muffin and a bottle of water. Yep, NOT breakfast. What I find interesting is that they are a Hilton property and I have stayed in several other Hilton properties during COVID-19 that continue to serve a traditional breakfast. I am assuming this is a local management decision and not a corporate decision. Also, housekeeping services are only provided on Wednesday. The only thing I notice that they did was bring new towels, and toilet paper. The staff were not particularly friendly. I don't recall ever being greeted when I walked past the front desk. I also had to wait for a staff to appear to request items. For example, since housekeeping is not provided I had to empty the trash cans in the room. I needed more trash bags. I had to wait for the staff for several minutes. Additionally, on another day I needed tissue. I waited, and waited, and waited and never saw a staff. I ended up just taking a roll from the pool bathroom. I also noticed that staff spent a decent amount of time on smoke breaks. In conclusion, based on the rooms smelling like pets, Combined with the below average customer service I have no desire to stay at this property again.

The hotel appeared to be new or new-ish. Everything was clean, modern, and in good condition. The carpets were not worn down yet. Check in was easy (as usual). Ample parking. Hotel is near restaurants if you don't want to pay inflated hotel prices. My room was fine. Clean. Bed was comfortable. The room was mostly quiet although I did hear some people yelling at each other about 1:30am. But that is not the fault of the hotel. I give this location 4 stars for two reasons. First, for some strange reason, the hallways were not air conditioned. It was over 100º outside and not much cooler in the hallway. My room was freezing when I entered and stepping a few feet from hot to cold was odd. They also have annoying music that plays nonstop in the hallway. Luckily, you can't hear it in the room. Second reason is that the AC in the room was kind of loud and difficult to control. 74º was too cold, 75º the heat came on and the room was warm. I never did get that one figured out. Overall, it was a convenient and pleasant stay that served its purpose.

Hurricane Helene was heading toward Atlanta so I had to change travel plans and called at 1115, the morning after my first night, to let them know I had to check out to catch an earlier flight home to make sure I was home before the hurricane interrupted travel. The hotel charged me for the second night at a rate 1.5x higher than my first night. Despite multiple calls to ask the hotel to do the right thing, they have refused to issue even a partial refund for the 2nd night. As a titanium Marriott Bonvoy member, I'm pretty shocked at the hotel management's lack of empathy for the situation.
