I reckon most people who go in are just curious at the idea of a traditional tailors, and it's a refreshingly quiet change to similar shops in London. It specialises in menswear, but I've had a browse around for cufflinks and ties as presents for male friends and family members. Unfortunately for me, the price is high for such quality products, so I remain an admiring window shopper. There is a 10% discount for students, so it's a good place for interview or internship clothes, or even for sub-fusc, if you want quality clothes that will last. It also caters for academics, legal professions and even clerical outfits. You can treat it as a normal shop or get professionally measured and have clothes tailor-made. Great fun to browse around, but definitely not an everyday shop.

As part of the Ede & Ravenscroft tailoring house in London's Old Burlington Street, not only does the Oxford shop offer ready-made suits, sweaters, ties, shirts and accessories, they are also able to deliver custom-made shirts and suits and to my knowledge -at least until recently- had a tailor coming in for bespoke clothes. The choice of clothes and formal wear is quite remarkable for a small city like Oxford, and with quite a few well-off kids joining the local university each year, there definitely is demand for a shop like E & R. They do provide a great variety of dinner suits, and since every student at Oxford University at some point during his university life requires a dinner suit, this would be my recommended place to get it from. And students even get a 10 percent discount (at least they got it during my student time).

Tasteful, classic and a bit on the expensive side, The Wardrobe offers a range of clothing from designers like Armani, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren and Henri Lloyd. I quite like seeing a man in clothing like this, especially a fine suit. Good Lord. There are some really great items on display in the windows, ranging from ultra smart to really quite casual. They provide suits and shirts while also fitting in all the everyday essentials too. But always classy. This is quite a middle class shop, where rich boys with side partings might come to find something to wear for playing cricket in. But the prices are reasonable and they often have offers on the cards. It's nice to see somewhere guys can go and pick up nice clothes without having too much chance of it all going horribly, horribly wrong.

Little Italy is full of one off men's clothing (or batches made specifically for the shop), so you never have to worry about blending in with everybody else. Although, I have to say, other than a few unusual patterned t-shirts, the type of fashion is not really to my taste. The shop would be perfect for the trendier men out there though! Prices are average, and most t-shirts cost around £10, which is general to most chain retailers; So you're getting something unique for the same price. It's a shame that shops such as this are hidden away in shopping centres outside of the city centre. I can see this store being very popular if it were located in central Brum.

It is probably the last really cool clothing shop left on Park Street. The style and clientele Cooshti caters for is definitely more urban that many high streets shops in Bristol. You'll find baggy jeans and some over sized t-shirts and shirts - quite unlike most shops nowadays. They also sell some seriously cool trainers which again, you'll struggle to find elsewhere in Bristol. I rarely buy stuff from Cooshti, but thats because its not really my style and unfortunately park Street doesn't have the appeal it used to for fashion/. But when I'm in the area I'll always go in and check out what they've got. It will be a sad day if Cooshti ever dropped off Park Street.

There's many labels on display here; Nike, Levis and Diesel to name but a few, all accompanied by a designer tag. The men and women who work here all look fantastically cool and wear their stock to the best of their ability. There's a great mix of footwear, dresses, t-shirts and hoodies with the odd one-off. Sizes are fairly small (nothing above a 14) which is disappointing, and I would say it's better for boys than it is for girls. Bit too label loving for my blood, but worth a look if street wear is your bag.
