David and his team did a fantastic job painting the entire inside of our new home. Everything was professional from beginning to end. He was responsive. He looked at our project and gave good advice on what to do, including some parts that he suggested were not necessary and would save us some money. He delivered the bid very quickly, and it was very thorough and covered every detail we had discussed. The cost was reasonable and in line with what we got from other firms. We hired him. His team did the project quickly and everything was flawless. We're very happy we hired him. For any future paint job we may have, we will call him! read more

I'm I've used David and PAINTMAN on multiple homes and properties, and they've been consistently professional, reliable, and fairly priced for the quality of work they deliver. I wouldn't consider using another painter. Their attention to detail stands out. From protecting landscaping and leaving areas better than they found them, to carefully staging garage contents and even a large wine collection during an epoxy floor project, David treats your property with real care and respect. He's clear about how a job should be done, stands behind his work, and takes pride in the final result. If you're looking for the cheapest option, this may not be it--but if you want excellent workmanship, accountability, and peace of mind, PAINTMAN delivers. Five stars. read more

Requested David for a very challenging job involving color matching a repaired section of wood (still with damage) and blending it with the rest of the house. His team exceeded my expectations. Absolutely love the result! Protected the surroundings well and left the place much better than before. Thanks!! read more

The owner came to give me an estimate the day after I inquired and as soon as I ok'd the estimate and gave him the colors I wanted, he scheduled the painters. I had two bedrooms to be painted and needed an area re-textured following a repair. The two painters he sent were able to do the repair and paint both rooms in a day. I'm really happy with the result. The pricing is competitive to what I've paid for other painting. I would definitely hire again. read more

Had David's crew come back out again for additional work and once again they were exceptional. Always on time, polite, easy to communicate with and fair pricing. Highly recommend. read more

David and his crew of painters did an exceptional job on some interior and exterior painting for us. The main project was to sand and repaint rusted and peeling paint on iron railings. It was a difficult project but it was finished beautifully with all the old paint chips cleaned up and taken away. The other minor inside repairs and touch ups were also expertly done, including paint matching, filling and sanding. David was very responsive and the price was very fair, his painters were hard working and nice guys. We will certainly call on them again for other painting needs. read more

This review is very over due. David was great! Very fair in pricing, explained exactly what was going to be done, gave options and he and his team very flexible and conscientious with prep and cleanup. Did a great job and would absolutely use them again. read more

Thanks David and team for the excellent work that you did. Completed on time and on budget! Had new kitchen cabinets primed and painted, as well as three large rooms of trim, doors, ceilings and walls. Pricing was fair and the project completed in 2 weeks. Touch ups including baseboards quickly followed. Work and attention to detail was excellent. Really appreciated the time and extra effort that your team took to cover up our stone and wooden beams. Never sure if these Yelp reviews are ever true. In this case, the previous five star reviews are justified. Thank you ! Highly recommend. read more

I can't recommend this company enough! I needed a job done in a hurry and they really came though, so I could have my rental house ready for a new tenant to move in. David, the owner is very communicative, responsible and thorough. Definitely a 5-star company and I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again!! read more

We had Paintman give us an estimate for refinishing our front door and sidelight. He was very responsive and knowledgeable, and his costs are very reasonable. read more

This review is long overdue. David Garcia and Paintman painted the entire interior of my "new to me" home in late 2023 before I moved in. I spoke with multiple painters regarding my job before selecting Paintman. Unlike some others, David told it like it is as opposed to telling me what I wanted to hear. Communication with David and his wife Sandra who manages the business was great (always responsive and prompt while sending me regular status updates). This was especially helpful since I was having to manage the job from afar. The results were excellent, and Paintman's pricing was fair. My property was left spotless, and David left me all of the spare paint very carefully labeled. All in all, it was a very good experience and I highly recommend Paintman for your painting needs. I certainly will consider them when it comes time to paint my home's exterior. read more

Our neighbors used Paintman to paint the exterior of their house. They were very happy with their work, so we hired them to paint our kitchen cabinets. David, the owner, came to our house promptly at the agreed upon time and gave me a verbal cost approximation. He explained the entire process to me and said he would send a written estimate. I had the written estimate from him within 2 days. We arranged a date to start, and his crew were outside in their truck at 7:45, for an 8:00 start time. They set up a tent on our patio and brought in their equipment. They were extremely professional, friendly, helpful and meticulous. They finished exactly on time and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend them. read more

David Garcia and the Paintman crew just finished painting our Monterey house, and we're very happy with the job they did! Their attention to detail was terrific! We had some of the interior painted, all of the exterior, as well as the picket fence. The house looks great! Their price was competitive, and we felt it was a very good value. They showed up on time and were very courteous. They cleaned up after themselves as they went along, and they finished before deadline! When it's time to have the rest of the interior painted, they'll get our business again! read more

I've selected Paintman twice now and have been extremely happy with the people, work and service. I had them retexture and paint bathroom walls a while back and this past month I had them fill and paint over many interior blow-in insulation holes - very tedious work! I highly recommend Paintman for very responsive customer service and the high quality of workmanship by his pleasant, hard working crew. Do use Paintman! read more

My agency hired David and Paintman crew to repaint the adult daycare we are preparing to open. They were covering over a previous paint job that was not suitable for the daycare center's needs. They were prompt and had a number of team members on site in order to complete the project quickly. David was very quick to communicate with me whenever I had questions. He helped make solid recommendations when I needed help with paint color. The crew did a very professional job, completed on time, and the center looks fantastic. We are very pleased! read more

I have used Paintman several times. They painted inside and outside my house. I have been very pleased with the quality of the their work and their professional manner. David is a good planner and coordinator, and all of the painters are extremely competent. It has been a pleasure working with them and I recommend them highly.Their attention to detail is remarkable. They work efficiently and have always finished on time or even before the time they gave me. They are so quiet I could not believe there were 3 guys in my kitchen all painting away. read more

David Garcia responded to my voicemail in less than an hour, even on a weekend, when I first contacted him about an estimate to paint my house (an old house). We met in person the following week and discussed what I was looking for. Within the next several days, I had a formal estimate for the work. It included the repair of water damage around three windows on the interior of the house. David kept in touch with me and scheduled the work as discussed. His crew was professional, courteous and very tidy. They did a marvelous job on the water damage as well as the exterior of the house. They took care to prepare the exterior: pressure washing, caulking windows and preparing all wood surfaces. The final invoice was as quoted. I would highly recommend Paintman for both interior and exterior painting needs. His tagline is: "Someone you can trust and depend on." and he lives up to it. read more

Just wanted to give a good review on the good work I received from these painters. They have a good set team and they finish quickly! The painters seemed like realy good guys and were very polite. Wow, Paintman Painting and Decorating did an amazing job! I have people in the neighborhood asking for their cards and complimenting on their work. They have hard-working guys who worked on our house for three days and some of those days were in scorching heat. It was a difficult task choosing the "best" painting company. I actually interviewed three companies and I can't tell you how much my head hurt after talking to the second company. After meeting with the owner, David, of Paintman Painting and Decorating, I felt that he was honest, nice, and offered excellent customer service. His pricing was competitive, right in the middle. After the interviews, Paintman Painting and Decorating was my first choice; however, I needed my husband's input. He told me that he trusted my choice and that put a lot of pressure on me. I asked the owner, David, to come out and provide some color choices. My husband felt good about him, so we went ahead with the painting. Choosing the right colors was even more tough. My husband and I walked through our neighborhood and drove around for about 1-2 months to get a feel for our colors. Did I mention the owner and workers were very accommodating? We watch a lot of HGTV, flipping houses, Property Brothers, Curb Appeal, and checked every nook and cranny, it was a flawless finish. Absolutely gorgeous work!! We are extremely happy and definitely recommend Paintman Painting and Decorating. A+ from start to finish! read more

We decided to use Paintman, as it painted our neighbor's house and did a great job. We are happy with our decision. The Paintman workers painted our Monterey house (dozens of window and door frames, fillings and sanding, which require a lot of attention to details). They did a fantastic job. We are very pleased. David and his crew saved me twice! We hired Paintman Painting and Decorating to help us get our home ready to turn into a rental. David provided the best quote and best overall approach to help make this something we could budget. His team did a fantastic job and made our place look great! On top of that, my neighbors commented on the friendly and respectful team and even asked me "who were those guys?" Unfortunately RIGHT before we were to rent this home, we had a major flood situation. David helped with some referrals to help us with work that he doesn't do, then came in and did more fantastic work to get the place in tip top shape again. I hired Paintman twice in under 3 months...and would do it again. read more
