Lance was a nice person, came to my home and assessed all of the dents, dings, and scratches on my…read morecar. Told me what he realistically could and couldn't do, gave me an estimate of $320 and took a pic of my VIN and asked for $40 to go purchase a paint can. He returned and popped out a dent and added paint. At first the paint color did not look too bad wet. But the next morning when I came out in the sun I was blindsided by the royal blue color on my front left quarter panel when my car is a midnight blue metallic color. I sent him pics complaining, he apologized and told me he needed another $160 for custom mixed paint and materials to redo the job. So I ended up paying a total of $480 which is close to my $500 deductible. When Lance returned to redo the work he brought his father with him who minimized the mistake by saying no new paint is going to look perfectly the same on an older car. I said I understand the look of new paint against old paint but this was a completely different shade of blue. Lance took accountability for the mistake but his father was very rude. His father also demanded the $40 I got Lance to get a refund from the company who sold him the first wrong color of spray paint and everytime I tried to respond or explain his dad would rudely cut me off and not allow me to have any resemblance of an adult conversation. I didn't know they were coming from Fresno (how is that my fault when they advertise their services on NextDoor app in my neighborhood?) But the dad said he took time out of his day and gas money and he should get that $40 that was owed to me. I had already planned to let Lance keep it since he had the integrity to return and repaint my car instead of disappearing when there's a problem like so many people do. But I didn't deserve the bizarre, confusing and rude exchange I had with his dad hassling me for $40. It's a shame I have to give a negative review, if it wasn't for the dad's behavior I would've given more stars since Lance was kind and tried to make it right. I would've liked to keep the custom paint and materials I paid for since they missed some scratches we had talked about and only focused on repairing the dent but I haven't heard back from Lance since he left. I'm sure Lance will learn and grow from this and not make the same mistake again but his dad needs to treat customers better instead of making us feel like we are an inconvenience to him.
