It was a well organized event that went smoothly. We had 3 lanes reserved for 2 hours. Our group enjoyed the snack bar and the bar on site. There is also a game room. My admission was a bit lower because I had my own skates. It was $10 per person for my husband and kids. There were 3 birthday parties so that might be why there were that many people there on a Sunday. The inside looks like the skating rinks I went to as a kid, which was fine with me. My main goal was to skate so I could break in my new roller skates. I was pleasantly surprised by the music selection. It was a good mix of old and new school music. It was very family friendly. I didn't try any of their food or visit the restrooms so I can't speak on how those things. There were a lot of kids here. The concession stand is almost never open, and the bathrooms are just clean enough. So why 4 stars? Hard to explain. After 4 years of 3 nights a week and and several weekends this home away from home has become part of our family. I'm pretty sure my car can drive itself here at this point. Kids from tiny to 18 playing the beautiful game is always so much fun. This park is owned by the city of Hoover with an agreement it is the home fields for the Hoover Soccer Club. This is home to the Hoover Phantoms and Lady Phantoms.
