Pros: Very well planned out event. There were 3 different projects going on at once. There was a…read moretable doing some serious woodworking. Another table making cake stands. Our table made tote bags. While our tote bags were drying, we did cookie decorating. All the supplies were plentiful and readily available. Accepts credit cards. They ran out of parking in front, but plenty of parking in the back. Cons: the cookies came pre flooded. My friend was disappointed about this since she wanted to learn how to flood since they do it all the time on some British baking shoe she watches. The baker did explain that the cookies had to to come pre flooded since that takes so long to dry. we actually didn't want to do a DIY project at all. Only wanted to cookie decorating. so we were basically forced to do the DIY. We could have done cookie decorating with another company, but i really liked the day of the dead theme.

This shop is adorable! I went tonight with my friends for the Christmas in July workshop. Seriously…read moreso much fun! They provided all the materials. You get to pick the stains, paint colors, and you can work out some frustration while hammering or sanding! Woo hoo! Each table has an assistant, our lady was Lydia. She was very, polite, helpful and encouraging. The owner Ashley is an absolute doll! She was walking around checking on us, helping, and just all around friendly host. This is a perfect thing to do for a private party, just by yourself, a group of friends, whatever the occasion. We were also given so yummy cookies to go along with the Christmas in July theme.

It's so surprising that many people don't know about it. Before it was renovated into an art studio, it was a city water treatment plant. Its parking lot used to be a wading pool. There are some cool black and white photos of what it used to look like in front of the restrooms. The space itself is amazing - super spacious and conducive to various forms of art and the required equipment. They have a jewelry making room with individual stations. There is an entire space designated for handweaving with lots of looms and fabric. An entire clay making section also exists with lots of pottery wheels. There is a big open space that's available for events and other workshops with lots of tables and chairs if needed. The magical thing about this place is that you feel creative as soon as you walk in. There's art and pictures displayed throughout the space and as you look at everything, it makes you want to sign up for all the classes they have. The natural light that floods in due to all the windows is refreshing as well. You can go to their website to check out their programming and workshop schedule. Their directors and coordinators are super friendly and helpful with any questions you might have.
