Having tried, on numerous occasions, to get our heating working through another plumber (and, obviously, failing) our lethargic and useless letting agent David Moor finally decided that it might be best to call another plumber. After two months of complaints, horrendous flu and a call to the environmental health they came to this sudden conclusion.
So, in came Paul Padgett and his two trusty guys. Yorkshiremen through and through, there was no messing about and no guff, they went straight down to the cellar to check that our boiler was working. After that my housemate and I followed the three of them around the house, radiator to radiator, offering up our lengthy history of problems that we'd had. For virtually all the problems we described they offered up easy-to-understand answers as to why we have problems - something no one else seems to have managed - and set about fixing everything to make our system a functioning system once more.
After detailed information regarding boiler pressure, valves, bleeding radiators was passed on to us in earnest and we now feel as though we've been given the correct information regarding our boiler system and have some ideas of what might be awry should it go wrong again! The guys were friendly and helpful and had everything up and running within half an hour which was just fantastic - especially since we'd been made to wait two months for it to finally be working.
