ate here monday night, not local to the area, i was visiting. from outside looked like your typical back street boozer, suprised to see it busy inside, and quite alot of familes in. We were there to watch the match on telly and have a bit of food, but a little confused as not sure they are a pub that does food on the side or trying to be restuarant. We were asked to take a seat, and then continous;y asked for our order. Not somewhere you would go to watch live matches, as the screens were small, NOT HD, and the TV we had to watch was really old with intermiitent reception. So if they are solely trying to be restuarant then take your TVs down and refurbish.
Food was good, ive ate in alot of these places across the midlands, but not any worse or better than ive tried before.
I must say the prices are steep, 3 of us, 4 pints each, and food - over £80, similar pubs bill would have been no more than £55-£60, 3 pints of cobra close to £12? Those prices i have paid regular at numerous pubs across the midlands.
So overall food was good, would i go back? Maybe, but i wouldnt rush back. read more
