Two sections of the fence had to be built around large pine trees, and I wasn't sure how that would turn out. I told Luis to use his best judgment and be creative -- and he absolutely delivered. Both areas look seamless and beautifully integrated into the fence line. We chose the "post‑on‑pipe" system, which comes with a 10‑year guarantee, and the installation is solid and precise. We also had the boards pre‑stained, which ended up costing much less than expected and gave the whole project a clean, finished look. We highly recommend Cano's Fencing to anyone looking for a great‑looking, well‑built fence at a reasonable price.

Thanks Hannah! The crew was absolutely fantastic! BIG SHOUTOUT to Andrew, Jorge, Eddie, and Rusty for doing an amazing job installing approximately 90 feet of cedar fencing days before closing. They arrived on time as scheduled, were professional throughout the entire process, and took the time to walk me through the completed work in detail once everything was finished. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. 100% satisfied again! I truly appreciate the hard work and professionalism from everyone involved. Thank you, Hannah, and the entire crew! The bid, while not inexpensive, was thorough and lower than another bid from a competitor who did not offer the same level of upgrades. The contracting and scheduling process was efficient and the team started on time and was courteous to neighbors. The team, led by Abraham, worked incredibly hard and carefully. We have underground electrical and irrigation lines as well plants in full bloom that they navigated with care. Abraham consulted with us whenever there was a choice to be made (ie: slope lines) and we took his advice each time - his recommendations produced a far better product than what we had initially requested. Abraham recommended and changed the orientation of our door so it would be more safe for our family. A true pro who was not just doing the job but ensuring the family behind the gates are better off in the long run. We've received many unsolicited texts from neighbors on the craftsmanship and care of the crew and requests for contact info. We're thrilled with our final product and would absolutely use them again.

During the process of accepting his bid I changed my mind a few times on some of the details and he was very patient and pleasant about all of my questions and changes. He is very easy to talk to and work with. From our first meeting when Andy came out to do the estimate I was so impressed with his obvious knowledge of deck construction and he explained all of the different aspects of choosing decking materials. We ended up going with Azek decking with Timber Tech composite railing with matching Azek drink rail for the top rail and it is just gorgeous! I couldn't be more pleased with it. After we get our backyard overhauled and in good shape I plan to have them do a new fence. There's no reason to look anywhere else for a deck or fence. Heilman Deck and Fence do a great job and are a pleasure to work with.

After getting a few quotes for our deck project, Heilman Deck & Fence really stood out. Andy came…read moreby and actually walked me through the whole process -- not just what he'd do, but why he'd do it a certain way. He explained where it made sense to invest a little more and where we could cut back without sacrificing quality. No pushy sales pitch, no checkbox quoting -- just someone who clearly knows his craft and cares about doing the job right. I had done some research ahead of time and knew my existing deck had a structural quirk that would matter during the rebuild -- Andy was the only one of the three contractors who caught it. That made the decision easy. His quote wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive, but it was fair and came backed with great reviews and a clean WA contractor's license (which, shockingly, not all of them had). That sealed the deal for us. We ended up completely rebuilding two decks using TimberTech PVC -- a smaller 10'x10' one, and a 26'x12' deck that's 20 feet in the air with two staircases and a landing. The whole project took about 3.5 weeks from demo to final touches. Andy's CAD drawings were spot-on. When surprises came up (like discovering the house's floor joists ran in the opposite direction), Andy just handled it -- added a beam, footings, and posts without delay or extra cost. Same deal with a couple small punch list items at the end (a dinged downspout, some siding, trim details). No fuss, no runaround -- his crew just showed up and made it right. The build crew was great to work with -- friendly, respectful, and meticulous. They kept the site clean and were clearly proud of their work. You could see it in the precision of the cuts and the fact that everything was perfectly straight, square, and level. Even the more delicate custom cuts -- like a half rip-cut board to fit under the house -- were nailed with crazy accuracy making it look like the boards extend under the house. Bottom line -- I'd 100% recommend Andy and his team at Heilman to anyone in the Seattle/Eastside area. If I ever need more deck or fence work (though this deck will probably outlive me), I won't even bother getting other quotes. These guys are the real deal.
