I first stumbled upon this little nugget as a broke-but-hungry college student at CSUSB, and all these years later, it still holds a special place in my heart (and stomach). The #4 plate (two crunchy tacos, beans, and rice) is so good, I have cravings. The rice with the magic meat sauce? I could eat a tub of that alone. Straight-up legendary. Tucked away in an unassuming shopping center, this place feels like a hidden treasure for anyone lucky enough to discover it. The interior may be dated, but honestly, that's part of the charm. Enjoy the photographs of Latino actors mounted on the walls while you wait. (Edward James Olmos, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, etc.) It's like stepping back in time, to an era when life was simpler and delicious food didn't come with a side of pretense. The food has always been amazing, and the service nothing less than friendly and warm. While I've heard it's under new ownership, I'm crossing my fingers (and toes) that they keep the magic alive. Because some things in life, like affordable, great-tasting food, are worth preserving. Whether you're grabbing takeout or dining in, this taco shop is a nostalgic hug in food form. Thank you for feeding me through the years, Paco's. I'll keep coming back for as long as you'll have me.

Food was kind of cold and I ate it pretty much right away even though I got it to go. Service was pretty quick, easy to order. Told him what I wanted and he put it in no questions back and forth. Casual little taco spot with good salsas

The service was great the food was excellent I got 3 tacos they were big one asada one al pastor and Lengua the vibe was mature old school taco stand I will definitely come again!!

Paco's Tacos. The food is very good: the door sign spelling, not so good

Perhaps the Best Cheese Quesadilla in the San Bernardino Valley area is made and sold by Paco's Tacos. Lots of very flavorful cheese and a nice green sauce inside a soft flour tortilla, then grilled on both sides. This dish is a full meal.

My husband and I recently had lunch at Paco's Tacos. We had beef tacos with rice and beans. The meal was really good, and I'd like to go back to try several different items. The owner was super friendly. We sat outside, and he brought us pillows to sit on. Very nice! Looking forward to going back soon!

Tried out this local spot after craving a burrito. The garbage burrito is really large and cost roughly $11. The taste is standard but I couldn't note anything in particular that stood out to me. The service was nice and friendly! The space itself has a few areas for dining in but looks most suitable for take out. The food itself was okay.

Ask the Community - Paco's Tacos

How long has Paco's been open?

More than 30 years, although another generation operates it now, the recipies are exactly the same.

Is their food the same as the one on Highland that just recently closed?

Yes, it is the same company and same recipe and same menu. Kendall has been open for many years although Highland was the first location.

    Are they open on Sunday?

    No, not open Sundays :(

I visited on 3/29/26 around 2 PM for lunch with my daughter and fiancé before heading to Knott's. As I mentioned, the food itself was excellent. The issue arose when we received the bill. My fiancé ordered a burrito and requested to add chorizo, fully expecting to pay the extra charge. However, when the burrito came out, it did not include chorizo. I ordered a combination plate, which offers either two items for $22 or three items for $27. I chose the two-item option and didn't think much of it until the bill arrived. When we reviewed the bill, we noticed that instead of charging for the combination plate, they charged us for two separate full meals (taquitos and enchiladas). On top of that, they also charged us for the added chorizo that we never received. We brought up the chorizo, and they did remove that charge. However, that prompted us to take a closer look at the rest of the receipt. That's when we realized we had been overcharged for the combination plate. When I brought this to the attention of a waitress (who, I should note, was not our original server), she told me they don't have a combination plate on the menu and quickly walked away. We waited for someone to return, but no one did. Since we had already paid and had somewhere to be, we decided to leave. Afterward, I checked their website to confirm whether the combination plate was part of the regular menu or possibly a limited or brunch-only item. It is clearly listed as a regular menu item. This means the waitress gave incorrect information, and at no point did our original server mention that the combination plate was unavailable. Instead, he allowed me to order it and then charged us incorrectly. Because of this lack of honesty and transparency, I'm giving this place a 2-star rating. I strongly encourage anyone dining here to double-check their receipt, as after reading other reviews, this seems to be an ongoing issue at this location.

It was kind of fast and came to see how we were doing every few minutes. The bad experience starts with the food, first of all the price is very expensive compared to the quality of the food, about $30 for two tacos not mention that one taco had only four little shrimps, my wife got the flautas and as soon as she got them, we noticed there were mosquitoes on the food so we returned the plate We ended up eating at a different time because of this problem we still got charged for it, nothing special on the Michelada, which is 18 bucks for only one beer and clamato At the end, we order a dessert of fried ice cream and unfortunately, another bad thing with this food a pubic hair at the bottom of the fried ice cream. It was very nasty. I decided not to complain anymore, but instead to leave a review, this is the first and last time that I'm coming to this place Another thing to point out is the bathroom is in a horrible condition, they don't take the trash out once the bin is full so there's many things that they really have to work on

I ordered the Cali Burrito with no sour cream and light guacamole and I wasn't super hungry, but it hit just right! Mmmmm. The chips were fresh and just the right amount of salty but the salsa was just a little too spicy for me - but my friend loved it and he likes it spicy. The only downside was there was a party happening in another room and apparently due to that, our food took forever to get out. The two small groups that got seated ahead of us had gotten theirs and we waited for a long time. My friend almost just wanted to leave. So maybe next time, find a way to still be able to serve small groups on sync rather than making them wait extra time if possible. But I'd be back for sure. Oh, the mango margarita was not it. It tasted premade and plain. Another table left a full margarita as well so this worried me that this may be something normal? And there is no return on alcohol so we finished most of it because of this and didn't want to waste that money.

After a long week and zero desire to cook on a Friday night, I finally decided to give it a try. When I pulled up, the line was surprisingly short, which felt like a good sign. The order window is right out front, and the menu is simple and familiar: tacos, burritos, sopes, tortas, quesabirria. I ordered a little bit of almost everything: asada street tacos, a bean and cheese burrito, beans and rice, an asada mulita, an al pastor sope, and a quesabirria. Prices were reasonable, and I spent under $50 for the whole spread. Food came out in about 15 minutes and was packed neatly. The disappointment started once I got home. There was no salsa in the bags, which already put us at a disadvantage. Only then did I realize there's apparently a salsa bar inside along with a small seating area, something you don't see from the front order window. Had I known that, I would've grabbed what we needed before leaving. Then we opened the tacos and realized they came completely plain... no onion, no cilantro, nothing. Just tortillas and meat. Not exactly what I expected. Visually, everything else looked fine, so I was hoping the flavor would make up for it... but it didn't. Everything tasted bland, like the seasoning took the night off. The only thing I halfway enjoyed was the beans and rice, and my family felt the same way. Maybe my expectations were too high based on the crowds I always see, but everything tasted like tortillas, meat, and cheese... and not much else. I'll give them credit for fair pricing and quick service, but that's about it. I really wish the cashier had mentioned that the tacos come plain or pointed me toward the salsa setup. Overall, not the experience I expected, and not one I'd rush back for.
