Dr. Odono provided top care for my father. He was diagnosed with an oral abscess at a local dental office upon a 2nd opinion with Dr. Odono, she ensured that he was treated in her office immediately. Surgical and non surgical options were well described to my father and he was treated successfully. I was put at ease knowing that if he needed to be admitted, she'd be the one doing the surgery. She displays outstanding patient care. read more

I'm an RN and I was referred to PCPMP for a tooth extraction and implant. My first time at Pacific Coast in Newhall. Beautiful and clean place located on the 2nd floor. Love the staff there. Cindy is awesome from the get go to the end. Dr. Kim reviewed the process, risk, and benefit before the procedure. Cindy went over the financial portion. And Susanna and Dr. Kim made you feel safe and comfortable in the procedure room. read more

I had an appointment to have my wisdom tooth and another molar extracted and felt very nervous. As soon as I arrived, Cindy greeted me and made me feel welcomed and at ease. Dr. Kim sat down with me before the procedure to explain exactly what he was going to do and made sure to answer all my questions. He has magic hands! I felt no pain and it was over in 30 minutes. Before I left, I was given a prescription for pain and instructions on the proper care. I definitely recommend Pacific Coast OMS in Newhall. They are awesome!! read more

This review is for a procedure at the Pasadena (Green St.) location. I brought my 13-year-old son in for a baby tooth extraction, and we were very pleased with Dr. Tung and the office staff. Dr. Tung was friendly and thorough, and she was great with my son. Even though I'm sure she does this kind of procedure all the time, she was attentive and showed interest in his particular situation. We felt heard and validated and did not feel rushed. I was out of the room during the actual procedure but I could hear the whole process. Dr. Tung was pleasant and reassuring to my son throughout. The extraction went fine, with no concerns or complications. The office staff was good about making sure I understood costs and follow-up care. Hopefully not a place I'll need to go back to, but if anyone in my family does end up needing an oral surgeon in the future, this will be our first choice. read more

Pacific Coast came highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint! When I first walked in I was greeted by a friendly and very helpful staff. The office was nice and clean and so I got comfy anticipating a long wait...I was surprisingly seen right away! Dr. Cho was very nice, professional and informative. He gave me a very thorough examination and answered all of my questions. I felt he gave me answers and options that were best for my health...not his pocketbook. A big thank you to Dr. Cho and the Pacific Coast staff! read more

Called them for two weeks trying to get an estimate. I even made an appointment thinking they would get back to me in a timely manner. Two days before the appointment they gave me a $250 estimate. I thought great! WRONG!!!! Less than an hour before my appointment I received a call stating the estimate was wrong and it would now cost over $1000. Very unprofessional and a waist of my time. They will not be receive my services ever again!!!! read more

I am so scared when it comes to dentists, more so with oral surgeons. But this is the time that I need to have my cracked molar extracted. Dr. Kim was so wonderful. He put some pain killers on me and slowly added more as I tell him that I can still feel some pain. He was explaining to me what he was doing during the procedure to put me at ease. He is very pleasant and caring. I definitely recommend him to everyone . The whole team in this office is excellent. read more

I was referred to Pacific Coast OMS by my regular dentist. They took my daughter as an emergency appointment for an extraction. Her procedure was quick and painless and Dr. Kim was very kind, professional, and explained everything that would happen to both me and my daughter. Should I need additional oral surgery I would return without reservation! read more

I took my son to the Pasadena location and everything having to do with Pacific Coast OMS was great. They were clear with pricing and fees and the Dr. we had was wonderful. My issue is with the lab they use. You have to sign a form saying you will pay for pathology out of pocket but with zero information on how much it is. Pacific Coast OMS used Oral Pathology Associates and my bill was more than the surgery itself! They don't give you fees ahead of time and so you have no option to price shop. Totally unethical and angering as a patient. It's basically entrapment. Be careful to ask ahead of time before having surgery so that you will know the total cost of care especially if Pacific Coast needs pathology on your surgery. Buyer beware! read more

I had such a great experience at Pacific Coast OMS Newhall. Starting from the receptionist, then the kind nurses, and doctor. They made me feel so comfortable. I was getting my wisdom tooth pulled and was suggested to get put to sleep. I started to get anxiety, not about the actual procedure but the anesthesia. After talking to the doctor and nurse I was put to ease and as soon as I could remember I was already waking up. I highly recommend Pacific Coast. read more

I was not very excited about my wisdom teeth extraction. All that said... I cannot believe how easy that was. I woke up in no pain. The staff were so kind and helpful and answered all my questions. read more

I was extremely nervous about my abscessed tooth extraction this morning. My previous experience with another dentist, only two days prior, was absolutely traumatizing. The moment I spoke with the wonderful receptionist I could tell I was in for a different experience. She was very helpful and understanding of my situation. The surgeon's assistant (I apologize if I got your title incorrectly) was also a delight. She listened to my concerns and was also very understanding about my reservations. Lastly, Dr. John Kim....what a stellar person. He immediately put my nervousness at ease and reassured me that he would talk me through the procedure and stop whenever I felt the slightest pain. Man of his word. The first dentist that tried the extraction was tugging pulling at my tooth for a while with me screaming and crying in pain. Dr. Kim had it out in about ninety seconds. Truly amazing surgeon. I would recommend anyone to this office, not just for Dr. Kim's flawless expertise, but the warm-loving compassionate and professional staff as well. Thank you so much all of you. read more

Surgeon was very aggressive. When received shots, I screamed. it was extremely painful. That has NEVER happened in my life. Not happy. Got infection and it was weekend and they would not give me antibiotic over phone, Not even after I explained I am 7 months after a hip replacement. Had to go to another doc to get antibiotics. It has been very difficult and would not go back. read more

I went to Dr. Cho to have 3 wisdom teeth extracted. He and his staff couldn't have made the process and experience more simple or comfortable. His staff was exceptionally polite and accommodating to work with my schedule and provided all the necessary details and options to consider for the procedure. Obviously there's always a level of apprehension walking into the dentist's office, but Dr. Cho's friendly and down-to-earth personality makes you feel at home and at ease. He walked me through every step of the procedure and explained what he was going to do, what I was going to feel etc. All in all, I was in the dentist chair for about 10 minutes to extract 3 wisdom teeth without a hiccup, which I attribute to Dr. Cho's ability and steady hand. I've had a lot of various dental work done and seen my share of dentists, and by far Dr. Cho is head above shoulders over all of them. The thing about Dr. Cho is that he genuinely cares about his patients' health and well-being foremost and its evident. So yes, I'd recommend consulting with Dr. Cho for any dental work needed. read more
