I went on a few review sites and between the low rung pay, and other comments I understand why half the worklers seemed piisssed ood /Pushing extra programs at members daily, IOP, outpatient, family, etc In consigent rule/comunicatuion. Ask 1 ? too 3 people and you get 3 differt answwerws, I asked tooo many questions about the management, why was I singled out, etc. I rate them a of 10 overall. 50% of the staff are wonderfulll and former edicts, so they get it. But oferall, its a money grab.

The aids and nursing staff were usually very upbeat and pleasant. Everyone can have a bad day now and then and no place is perfect, but by and far everyone did their job and I never had to go far to find someone if I had a question or if Dad needed something. He liked the food and the activities they offer are awesome. Dad enjoyed the music events they have twice a week. Pathways hospice is superb! Dad was on hospice two different times before he passed and they all went the extra mile for him. They kept me informed at all times. My mom lives next door at Garden Villas and I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff and facilities there, as well. I am glad our elder care attorney recommended Delmar Gardens.

My grandma spent the last few months of her life at Delmar Gardens, and our family will always be…read moregrateful for the people who cared for her there. This was such an incredibly difficult season for our family, but so many of the nurses, aides, therapists, and staff treated my grandma with patience, kindness, and dignity. She had dementia and could definitely be stubborn and sassy, but they learned her personality, her likes and dislikes, and how to make her feel comfortable and safe. They laughed with her, talked with her, cared for her, and treated her like a person rather than just another patient. Our family was there constantly, especially toward the end of her life, and we were able to see firsthand how much compassion many of the staff had for her. They celebrated her 82nd birthday with us, helped make her days a little brighter, and showed our family kindness during some of the hardest moments we have ever experienced. Delmar Gardens became more than just the place my grandma stayed. It became the place where we spent so much of our final time with her, made memories with her, loved on her, and eventually said goodbye to her. Losing her has been absolutely heartbreaking, but I will forever be thankful for the people who helped care for her along the way. Thank you to everyone who loved on our grandma, put up with her sass, made her smile, kept her comfortable, and treated our family with compassion. Those things may have seemed small in the moment, but they meant more to us than you will ever know.

We were given the biggest "sales pitch" and fell for it at the expense of my parent's health and now quality of life. If this were a place caring for children people would be outraged...it's so sad the same cannot be said about the elderly.
