After keeping my case for over two years, putting me through countless phone calls, paperwork, and delays, I was suddenly told that an attorney had reviewed the case and they would no longer represent me because liability was being denied. If that was their position, they should have made that decision when they first accepted my case--not after wasting two years of my time. Communication was one of the biggest problems. My settlement negotiator, Andrew Pacheco, often took months to respond, and getting an update on my case was extremely difficult. I rarely received proactive communication and constantly had to follow up myself. The office also seemed very disorganized. Nearly every time I called, I was told someone different was handling my case. It felt like there was no consistency, no accountability, and no one who actually knew the status of my file. Speaking directly with an attorney was nearly impossible. The staff was frequently discourteous and unprofessional, and the overall level of customer service was disappointing. I expected clear communication and professionalism from a law firm, but that was not my experience. After more than two years, I was left exactly where I started--without representation and having lost valuable time that could have been spent pursuing my case elsewhere. I met multiple times with Mr. Bartlett to outline my concerns and facts of the case. I prepared pages of evidence and questions to be addressed which were ignored by Mr. Bartlett. Despite glaring red flags regarding my ex's inability to coparent, corroborated by a family counselor's written report, and safety concerns at my ex's home, none of this was brought up in trial. Mr. Bartlett did not ask my ex any questions during the trial. The hearing was concluded in less than 1 hour. Prior to meeting with Mr. Bartlett, I had 50/50 custody. Immediately after retaining him, the judge made a temporary order for my ex to have full custody (which become permanent). I now have no custody of my daughter. I have the judge to fault for judgement but there were significant facts of the case that were never brought up.

Not only was this attorney unhelpful in getting the financial and other matters settled, he sent her to collections over a $150 charge for a call that she did not ask for and did nothing for her case. Not to mention, he was rude and demeaning to her throughout the entire process. In a nutshell, this lawyer took 2 grand, did nothing she asked for or needed, called to follow up (unsolicited) and billed her. Then sent her to collections before the case was settled and resolved. DO NOT USE THIS GUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED AND UNDERSERVED!
