Headed into town? This is a GREAT spot! If you take the rail in and keep your recipe, parking is cheap ALL day. There are two lots, one right next to the train (Zeeburg I) and another across the street (Zeeburg II). The rate only applies if you are going into the city.
The ride into town is short, so even if you're standing it won't be bad. Ample parking (I was in lot 2). There is no staff at lot 2 and at lot 1 the staff won't be there after hours. But there are kiosks that will display in English.
How do you get the great rate and avoid paying 24 euro's for the day?
At the kiosk get a P+R GVB card. You have to buy it within 1 hour of parking.
Before you get on the train use that same card to get back to the lot. This is very important. I bought another "all day" card for the trams in the city. If I had used that card to get back to my car I wouldn't have received the lower rate. The kiosk will check to your last "check-in", which should be in the city. If you make a stop on your way back to your car outside of the city, you won't get the rate.
Pay within 1 hour of returning
It can be a little complicated, but if you follow the directions above you won't pay more than 8 euro's for the day, maybe less! read more
