Although the outdoor temperature was a bit cold on the day we visited, they have outdoor heating and blankets to keep us warm. They have a top cocktail list and we began with one each. The flavours of these were lovely and refreshing and the presentation also fit the setting. Brunch always has to have a Bellini and this one was a nice mix of Champagne with white peach and vine peach liquor. The skyline swizzle was a mix of rum, açai berries, raspberries, fresh lime and bitters. Gin, pineapple, lime and bitters made up the Honolulu cocktail and it was awesome. Food wise, we left it in the hands of the waiter to order us an array of foods, beginning with some beautiful oysters and a vinaigrette. The menu is predominantly seafood, a natural choice given the proximity to the sea. From the sea menu, we tried the Balmain bug risotto, which was cooked just as risotto should be, and with the addition of nice small chunks of Balmain bug. Beautifully presented with edible flowers, Creme fraiche and edamame, this was a popular dish amongst our group. We also tried the yellow fin tuna tartare with avocado, black sesame and ponzu, accompanied by some rice waters. The kale and avocado salad with quinoa, chickpeas, seeds, pine nuts and mint was so refreshing and nice and light to go with the meal. My nails are not shaped well, some are longer than others and not neat. The French art is disgraceful, it was rushed and looks horrible. Not worth it considering the waiting time prior to the procedure (because this place is always overcrowded) and the high prices. Not coming back!

Positives: Nice onboard staff; Free wi-fi; New planes; Decent food; Comp beer & wine; No lost luggage; Negatives: The first flight departed 45 min late; I asked the gate agent to add my AA number to my flights. She was too busy playing with her phone to help me; The short SYD-MEL flight was the most turbulent, short flight I have ever been on. In addition, the landing was rough; I was denied lounge access. Based upon my info, I should have been given access via my AA status. I asked to buy day passes, and was denied; No announcement for baggage claim carousel; The second flight was the longest of the three, and luckily it was on time. Nonetheless, the hard landing makes me think thats the way they do things Down Under (LOL); On the last intra-country flight, the temp was warm. Nonetheless, it did arrive on time, and the landing was smooth. Overall, a good experience, but there was room for improvement. I would rather fly on the national carriers when I am overseas. The national carriers have newer equipment and better service IMHO.
