Charming, quaint store. Cool, friendly owner…read more Me and my wife were coming off a St. Roch food tour when the used records on the outside steps of this store caught my eye. The owner was chilling outside as well and gave me a friendly 'bonjour!' before she headed in to wait on customers inside. After I went through the records I entered the store to be welcomed by an ecclectic mix of vintage pop culture goodies. From 50s jukeboxes to 60s kids toys to 70s playboys - eye candy for the quirky and art-minded. And, of course, there were more records inside which were a good mix of rock, pop, jazz, and soundtracks. Prices were pretty reasonable compared to the inflated prices I've seen since the vinyl boom. The owner was very accommodating, offering to play anything we wanted to hear. We shared a brief conversation about our love of vinyl and then completed the purchase of 2 lps - "When Harry Met Sally" soundtrack and New Kids on the Block "Hangin' Tough" (don't judge!). Definitely would come back and recommend to others visiting Quebec City/St. Roch area.

She just moved…read moreinto this area from over near Clocher Penché, and it's a sign of hope I think for the way this neighbourhood could grow while staying affordable and amazing. The clothes are beautifully curated, the owner has a great eye: when I was there I saw gorgeous big comfy sexy wool sweaters for men and women and a rack of real leather jackets and some really sweet dresses. Affordable actual vintage. She has a record player and plays lovely old music while you shop and try on clothes and everything looks great in the small, comfortable shop with it's wall of lovely old windows.

Cool little vintage store that reminds me of the vintage shops in Kensington Market (in Toronto)…read morecirca 1990's. Lots of retro items, funky jewelry and cool hats. Staff were nice and even informed me of which items were 30% off and which items were 50% off. Prices were reasonable. Just watch your step when you're in the store, there are random steps and I almost fell flat on my face, lol.

I've been here several times but never found anything that sparkled my eye but always knew that one day when i'm looking for a unique gift for someone this would be the place to find it! Happened upon this sweet shop while exploring Limoilou with my great host Olivia C. It's a mix of…read moreexcellent vintage and cool stuff from local designers. The staff were very friendly: digging out an unpriced, untested vintage portable record player for me to try and when it worked giving me a totally fair price on it. I got it home and am totally thrilled with the find. I also heard from the nearby brewpub Barberie that they love this shop and had worked with them to design their t-shirts. Quebec City has some truly heart-warming examples of local business collaboration and this is an awesome one, go say hi!

I found that the place smelled weird and honestly, it looked and felt like a dump to me. I suppose if one had the patience, one could potentially find some cool things here, but I walked in and had to walk out (but not before clicking some quick photos for y'all, lol). I think it's run by a Christian charity, as there were lots of crucifixes on the walls. Kudos to those who volunteer there to help others, but Emmaus is not a place for me :(
