Brought a pair of Allen Edmonds Caen boots in to put on a different sole. The hard leather half…read moresoles with lugs didn't match the comfort of the uppers and I wanted to put on a wedge sole. He showed me what he had available and I picked the one I wanted. He did a proper resole stripping the sole to the welt, adding new cork and a rubber midsole and gluing on the new wedge. The sole was nicely centered and looks great. Stitching isn't perfect but is close enough. The boots feel like sneakers now! Only gripe is that he didn't finish the edging after he sanded it and on a few occasions I've gone there during business hours and nobody was there. Definitely worth giving him a try.
