Everyone who works at this shop is kind, approachable, and willing to listen to your ideas. If you live nearby, walking distance or are a little bit of a drive away, I'd suggest checking out all the artist's instagram pages and seeing if anyone's tattoos speak to you. This shop can do your simple line tattoos as well that you find from Pinterest, but do check out their work if you're are considering something bigger than a few words. This is a solid shop here in SD. This shop is around some good food options if you get hungry. I have been tattooed here by Francis and he is a gentle giant with a light tattooing hand. Francis can give you a clean, bold, and legible tattoo that will stand the test of time. He has tattooed me and I got a rose that is drawn-to-fit. See picture. Anyone who offers to draw a piece on without a stencil is worth the time. Francis has tattooed myself little brother as well and I don't send my family to just anyone off the street either.

The piece turned out dooooope and I get compliments on it all the time. The process wasn't bad, he was easy to talk to and friendly. And talented! Highly recommend him. Oh, and the shop was located in a hella sus area and he offered to walk to to my car lol. Great customer service!!

I made an appointment with Mia at High Class Tattoos because I liked the artwork showcased on their…read morewebsite and social media. However, when I arrived, I was unexpectedly assigned to a different tattoo artist without any prior notice or explanation. I started with a small single-star tattoo, and unfortunately, the quality was very poor. I decided to stop the session before moving forward with any additional work. Afterward, I learned that the artist was the owner's daughter, and she asked her father to step in and fix the tattoo. At that point, I asked where Mia was and was told that she was in the shop tattooing another client. I was then informed that all of the artists share the same Instagram and Facebook accounts, that one person manages the social media pages, and that the artwork posted online is a collection of work from multiple artists. As a customer, I found this extremely misleading. The portfolio displayed on the website and social media gave me the impression that I was booking with a specific artist based on their work. Instead, I was assigned to someone else whose skill level did not match the quality of the work that attracted me to the shop in the first place. I believe each tattoo artist should have a clearly identified portfolio on the website and social media so clients know exactly whose work they are viewing and who they are booking with. Customers should not be randomly assigned to a different artist without their knowledge or consent. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. Transparency matters, especially when choosing a tattoo artist. Potential customers should be aware that the artist they book may not be the artist whose work convinced them to schedule an appointment.

Booking was simple because he is listed on the booksy app - saw the name of his shop and we loved it so we impulsively booked him last minute for two 45-minute appts about a little over 24 hours in advance... the app enables u to book, pay a deposit and a tip in advance if u so choose. His shop/work space is shared with a barber shop- overall a great atmosphere - good vibes and clean enough. Clister is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable so he gave us some guidance to help ensure that we would be happy with our tattoos from the day we got them til they have aged for many years- which we appreciated very much. He was not heavy handed, he was very focused while he did precise work- and my friend was actually kinda fidgety moving his feet and talking with his other hand while Clister quietly worked through it w/ zero frustration (impressive). What surprised me most what that my *extremely* picky friend is delighted with his tattoo and said it was exactly what he wanted/pictured. I was shocked cause even though Clister's execution was basically perfect - my friend is *difficult* to please and even more difficult to impress. Parking was easy, they played music i loved and it was overall a fantastic experience. I will 100% be returning to Clister for all my tattooing needs. I saw the couple of negative reviews he had but ignored them because there's always gonna be some bozos who think it's their job to be pissed off haters, and i am glad i ignored them because Clister was professional and damn near achieved the impossible when he made a satisfied customer out of my bf...we couldn't have really asked for a better experience. Highly recommend.
