I was so glad I changed dentist, because the dentist at the office I left wanted to pull both teeth instead of filling the cavities. One of those teeth has a $1000 crown, which I wasn't anxious to lose. Dr. Meridith was gentle and concerned about my well-being. She ask me several times "how are you doing or are you OK?". I'm 78 so I've seen a lot of dentists over the years and yes, I have had some good dentists, but the Dentists and staff at Dr. Gibbs office are the most caring that I have ever encountered. Taylor, the receptionist, makes you feel comfortable as soon as you enter the office. Lonni Beth, the hygienist that cleaned my teeth on my first visit was great. She was very careful not to hurt me. I hope I have the opportunity to meet Dr. Kenneth Gibbs so I can tell him personally what a great staff he has.

She enlists the help of others experienced in areas related to the plan which takes time coordinating the logistics. She is a perpetual student and she has "all the things" at her reach to diagnose and provide the best care. Sitting in her chair is a sigh of relief compared to other dentists I have encountered. I can't tell you how much she has done for me... a little hand holding in rough times. She's super intelligent with nothing to prove. Her office is very relaxed, but with a lot of work put in to maintain an effortless atmosphere. Her staff is genuinely happy which says a lot. But he really proved how truly terrific he was yesterday. My daughter's TMJ caused her jaw to lock open. She was in horrible pain and went straight to the ER. They kept her for 3 hours, giving her a variety of medicines that didn't help and rudely discharged her. I was out of town but suggested she go see Dr. Whitley. He was so kind and immediately adjusted her jaw and she could close her mouth. He showed her how to adjust it herself if it happened again. Not only is he a wonderful dentist but truly a life saver .

His small office was bright and friendly, and his receptionist welcomed me kindly as she heard my story. Despite the lack of an appointment, in only a few minutes the dental assistant (or hygienist, I'm not sure) took me to an examining room, and Dr. Whitley came in a few minutes later. He was very friendly, extremely professional, and quickly put the cap in. As he did, I thought, "I like this guy, and not just personally; he's good! He then sent me off with a few kind words, and I was then told at reception that there would be no charge. But it's not the "no charge" that gets the 5 stars; everything about his office and staff said, "We care about our patients, and we intend to take care of their dental needs." My old dentist out west is part of an "industrial" clinic, with 5 dentists and the feeling that patients are simply insurance cards with wallets. When we move, this professional gets me, permanently.
