The office was great and they were professional but I have never had a worse experience with the customer service team at a dentist office. We received our bill 3 months later and they hadn't charged our insurance even though all the info was given. We provided the info and then 1 month later received a new bill with the incorrect charges even though our visit was covered at 100%. If you enjoy being on the phone with elevator music for 1+ hours once a month then this is the place for you. Bottom line... choose local. read more

I gave Aspen Dental a 5 because everyone was very nice. I also gave them a 5 because they took time to explain every step of my dental exam.

I was absolutely blown away with the level of care and hospitality at this place. It boggles my mind that they don't have a higher rating on yelp. With what would normally turn into a 3 visit ordeal, they got me through in one day. Would recommend this place all day long! read more

The office staff is the worst! I called to make an appointment for my son since I was not given one when I left and the appointment was scheduled over the phone accordingly. The office confirmed his appointment 2 days prior to the visit. We show up for the visit and are told "it hasn't been 6 months" since the last visit. Shouldn't they know enough to schedule the appointment 6 months out? Instead the lady at the front just wanted to place the blame on me for calling to make the appointment. It's a shame the office staff is so terrible because the hygienists are the complete opposite. Avoid this place! read more

Disgusting Dental facility. They lost our c-rays & never answer their phones. I had a crown that came loose & I tried to get an appointment to take care of it. I was told that it would be over 4 months before they could take care it. They took x-rays & then after I paid for them to be done, they claimed they were lost due to a technical issue. I was really pleased with this office! Super nice front office staff, friendly & knowledgable assistants & Dr. Finke was just the best! What left me absolutely speechless was the price! I was told by other dental offices the cost would be $500 or more - Aspen charged me $150!!!! I'm still shocked! I have a true phobia of the dentist started back when I was a child. My mother warned us when we were younger to take care of our teeth because our father's family's teeth weren't that great. I did not heed her advice instead I only went to the dentist when there was an issue. After losing teeth my teeth started to separate some of them were loose and falling out one even broke went to the dentist wasn't having any pain just a raggedy smile went to Aspen dental I came in crying from fear and explain to them my fear as they were doing the assessment the assistant or the dentist I'm not sure who she was asked me did I brush my teeth everyday. I was offended I was taking a back not only do I brush my teeth every day I floss and use mouthwash do my teeth look like I didn't brush him everyday and even if I didn't is that a question you ask a patient who's already afraid to be there no it was inappropriate it was rude and it was heartless and it was mean and it was insulting and I felt all of that as I cried snatched the bib that she put around my neck with a chain and told her I know she didn't learn her bedside manner from school if she did she needs to possibly go get her money back there was a better way to ask that question how often do you brush did you brush this morning anything but do you brush your teeth everyday as if to say my teeth look like they hadn't been brushed their estimate for my work was way lower than the one I got from the dentist and I'm using now who is sympathetic who showed empathy and compassion I don't mind spending $2,000 more to be treated like a human being what a horrible way to treat someone who expressed their fear how dare you Aspen dental. read more

The day of my appointment I was told I was not on the schedule and they could not see me even though they can see I had an appointment with them. THIS PRACTICE HAS MANY NICE EMPLOYEES. HOWEVER, the business itself is somewhat disorganized. I get quoted ONE price, charged another and when I get my statement with details, there's different charges for the same work. I am not used to paying for dental work since I cannot really afford to, BUT when I went to my FIRST appointment I was charged $883 and told the insurance just paid such and such. Well, good thing for stimulus checks OR I wouldn't have been able to afford this. The practice should EXPLAIN fully what the costs are at the time one makes an appt. so we know what to get insurance for and what we'll have to come up with. OTHERWISE, they do a very nice job, take good xrays and care of patients; only need trashcans nearby the dental chair.**Recommend their services as opposed to some dental offices I've learned about. read more

This location may be fine for cleanings and check ups but I would question any recommended procedures.The staff seems nice enough but are almost impossible to reach by phone.Do not fall for the 30 dollar so called cancer screen and do not pay for any procedures up front because it will take months and hours on the phone to get refunded.I feel that some of the staff at the local and corporate offices lack integrity and the experience to be more like a high pressure sales pitch than a dental appointment. read more

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I scheduled my cleaning 6 months apart from my original cleaning. They called to reschedule because of a schedule conflict. The next available appointment wasn't for another 6 months out which makes it a year from my original. Then the day before the next appointment they called to reschedule AGAIN because one of their dental assistants got into a car accident. Had to reschedule again. 3 weeks out AGAIN. so when I called to confirm for the next day,they didn't save the next rescheduled appointment SO THEY WANTED TO RESCHEDULE AGAIN. I went to Aspen Dental to have 2 teeth extracted and I purchased dentures to wear right away. I paid Aspen Dental over $900 cash. The dentures did fit me after the extraction but now are so loose that they will not stay in my mouth. I went to Aspen Dental today to discuss this issue. Jeff the technician made the denture and he advised Dr. Boles that the original dentures couldn't be repaired, instead new ones have to be made. I was told to come back Thursday at 130 pm. I told the office that I work and couldn't come until 4pm. I was then told to come Monday. No one offered to stay Thursday despite the fact I had dentures that were useless and I wouldn't be able to chew food properly. Since they were unwilling to accommodate me, I demanded my money back. The receptionist told me that corporate would issue a refund within 7 to 10 working days and they couldn't give me cash. I now have no dentures and can't go elsewhere because they have my money. These people RAPED me. Charged me right at $3500. Installed one crown and damaged the crown in front of it. When I came back and brought it to their attention, the person took an x-ray, of a crown, and had the gall to inform me that it was actually a cavity, and that if they did not replace that crown soon, they would have to extract the tooth. Supposedly provided a couple other services that were nothing but smoke and mirrors. These people should be PROSECUTED. And one star is far better than they deserve. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Every time I have called, I go through the automated system and wait so long to speak to an actual person that on more than one occasion I have hung up and driven to the actual practice. That was the only way to reach anyone. Today I waited 24 minutes before anyone picked up and they said they were filling in and didn't know why no one had answered the phone. Then they never have any appointments open that aren't 6 month cleanings. The last time I went there, they put me in a room and started prepping me for a cleaning. I was there for an X-ray only (I'd just had a cleaning 2 weeks prior) and they had no idea. Normally I don't write reviews, but this has been a terrible experience consistently. I don't think they have bad hygienists but that they are working with a bad system. read more

I am a patient at the New Bern location of Aspen Dental. I have had a fear of going to the Dentist for most of my life. I have recently had some issues that required quite a bit of dental work. I am pleased to say, the girls at Aspen Dental are amazing! They have done more for me over the last several weeks than just address the problems I have, they have cured my fear of the Dentist.
