Oxford Learning, a Canadian company founded in London, Ontario in 1984, opened its first learning centre to serve families in Etobicoke in 1995. The big idea of the founders of Oxford Learning was and is to teach children about strategy for learning - to learn, recognize, use and invent learning strategies, and so to make learning things in school faster and easier.

Meet the Business Owner: Steve G.

In 1995 Steve was inspired to open the first Oxford Learning centre in Etobicoke after meeting the founders in London, Ontario. With his background in teaching, Steve recognized that Oxford Learning was different from ordinary tutoring. The advanced Oxford Learning system for assessing and planning for each child, of staffing with top teaching professionals, and of teaching children to use strategy as they learn, set Oxford Learning apart then, and sets Oxford Learning apart today as a very high quality provider of tutoring and learning services for children and young adults.
