Easy to find as they are opposite the leisure centre and there is a car park at the front. The building is a lovely old forge dating back to the 1800's which really sets off the stunning items it holds. Not just offering furniture this shop also has a lovely range of giftware which is worth checking out if you are looking for a unique present. The showroom is set over two floors with plenty to look at. Price are reasonable and they also offer a bespoke service if you are looking for something built to your own specifications. It was of a large round plastic button with a picture of a unicorn on the front and when pressed, expressed wishes and dreams- the theme of her birthday cake. The cost? A whopping £6.50 but it WAS for a special occasion. After writing my heartfelt sentiments on every spare space on the card, wishing her a wonderful birthday, I checked the on/off switch before sealing it in the envelope. Imagine my disappointment when my daughter opened it and the card didn't work. I had spent silly money on an unforgettably disappointing experience!! I didn't want to return the card, it was too personal, so I took a video of it clearly showing the problem and went back to the shop with my receipt. Even after showing the video and receipt I was told I had to return the card before getting a refund but I did not want to take back my daughter's card, This was not a good shopping experience and I shall not be returning to Something Special.again.

Offers a lovely choice of books for everyone - their range of childrens books are fantastic. Easy to search for items you are looking for and lovely just to wander in and browse as you always come across somthing that grabs your attention. Pretty good access, never had a problem taking the buggy in. They will also order in anything they dont have in stock and you dont need to wait to long for it to arrive.

Staff are friendly and its easy to get around with a pushchair. There is a small sub post office sharing the shop so it can sometimes seem quite busy but generally the chemist is pretty quiet and you dont have to wait long at all. Shop seems a bit old fashioned but it all adds to the charm and you can normally find exactly what you are lookig for which is the most imprtant thing!
