There are also, pumpkins, peppers and pears that I saw. The apples are all clearly marked by type. I saw two coyotes running loose around this orchard today, they didn't seem interested in any fruit or people. The woods are right by the wired fence, I'm sure bears and deer also pop by. I enjoyed this orchard that's easy to navigate and has a good amount of apples and juicy raspberries for picking.

They sell homegrown produce, as well as dairy, meats, and goods from other farms. Their new space is nicer and bigger than the old one. And you can shop in the farm store without being a CSA member. You sign up for CSA membership before the season (the earlier you commit the lower cost it will be), and proceeds are used for them to buy seeds, maintain equipment, and for their staff. It's not cheap but if you're a member you're supporting a good organization and getting nutritious foods. As a member you have your choice of a specific number of items in the Farm store and then you can pick your own depending on what they have. When we picked, there were berries, flowers, herbs, and a few shishitos. There's a window to pick so if you go later in the cycle, things might be a bit picked over.

There are trails on the property open to the public, they also offer CSAs (community supported agriculture). They sometimes hosts classes and events. There is a seasonal farm store onsite. The store was lovely; I enjoyed shopping there. There were fresh produce as well as some dairy products, cookies, pickles, and more. They were offering free samples of watermelon in the summer. I have a half share which entitles me to a standard size reusable shopping bag of amazing fresh veggies for $12 a week for 20 weeks!!! I split my share with 2 roommates and we always get more than we can handle. (Good thing I have freezer space...) This is my first CSA but I've researched them before and what sets Windham apart is the flexibility of their program. Standard CSAs pre-sort your share every week and offer 1 or 2 pick up locations. Windham has at least 3 pick up locations and if you pick up from either their farm (Sat) or the Coventry Farmer's Market (Sun) you can pick your vegetables! It's basically like a $12 organic shopping spree. We've gotten just about every kind of vegetable you could imagine and even some fruit. In addition to the usual stuff I was exposed to a number of things I had never cooked with before like Kohlrabi and Celeriac. Although I've never been to the farm itself I have heard from my co-worker (who I split a full share with and put me on to it in the first place) that it is gorgeous and a great trip for a Saturday morning.

They sell gorgeous locally farmed produce like corn, tomatoes, squash, peppers, cucumbers and beans. Being close to Halloween, we saw scores of pumpkins of every size and description everywhere. Flowers were also well represented with overflowing flowerpots and baskets bursting with color in every direction. They feature two big signs that will catch your attention. One says, "Thanks to All Vets" and another says, "If You Can't Stop, Smile as you Go By". We were on a mission to pick up some cornstalks to decorate the light pole on the front lawn, and we did take home a nice bundle of stalks for $10. It was brimming with humongous ears of corn, which we detached and tossed into the woods, so as to discourage the bears from loitering by our front door. PRO TIP The website on their Yelp page is a broken link. Apparently, they have replaced their website with a Facebook page, which seems to be an increasingly popular trend among businesses.
