As a parent with two children in the junior school for the last five years I can honestly recommend…read morethis school as would my children who are excited and happy to go there. The care, love and dedication they have for their pupils has been at times humbling. Our daughter went there from Nursery due to a complete lack of school places in the area. It was never our intention to educate privately but we are so glad that did with the support that they have given us over the years. The first year fees were not actually much different from the nursery fees so it wasn't too much of a financial shock. Fees on the whole are fairly low compared to many private schools in the area and when offset against the cost of hiring a childminder in the state school (the hours of care are 8-5) it is extremely reasonable. Resource wise, the school recently refurbished the playground to a fun astro-turf style. They make use of the senior school for year 6 science and some games. Classes are typically small and focused with both my children currently between 12-15 which gives the children a lot of attention. They seem to work on a rounded child approach so non-academic fun stuff appears to be as important as the more formal type. There are trips both paid and free, drama, sports, clubs, societies and an end of year disco. This school has been a delightful surprise and we are so glad we chose to go there. They have a number of open days throughout the year but you can just arrange a visit at any time. I lived in Worthing for 21 of my 33 years and never had I ever been to Ferring Country Centre, in…read morefact I only found it existed earlier this week when I was asking for suggestions of things to do with my one year old daughter whilst on our visit back to the United Kingdom for a month! Ferring Country Centre was established in 1986 and provides opportunities for those with learning disabilities, in fact many of the staff members who are working there have learning disabilities. The centre is fairly small and provides riding for those with disabilities. However, this was not our reason for visit. We came to see the farm animals as my daughter hadnt really had the chance to see any previously (and had been too young previously to really appreciate them). The Centre has a garden centre which sells plants, a farm shop, a cafe, play area indoors for children and a small animals farm. They are also in the process of building a playground outdoors for children. The animals in the small animals farm include goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens, pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, fish, lizards, ducks, horses, a shetland pony, birds and a turkey. My daughter really enjoyed seeing all the animals and we only had to pay 1 Pound per adult and she was free as she is under two. However, as of 31st March the prices are changing to 2 pound per person and only under ones go free, so a trip for two adults and a 14 month old will change from 2 pound to 6 pound! Quite a rise in cost!

A wonderful opportunity to learn about animals, farm life and riding for all ages with learning…read moredifficulties. My Grandaughter goes here to ride and it is immeasurable how much confidence, balance and happiness she has gained. The staff are so patient, kind and understanding. A very BIG THANK YOU to them all. A charity that could well do with additional support from locals and further afield. Watch out for Carols in the Stables !!!

My Dad & I went here for lunch just over a week ago for the first time. We were instantly greeted &…read moreseated by Penny. The restaurant is immaculately clean, chairs were very comfortable & tables were nicely presented - all cutlery was laid out the same distance apart etc. Arundel restaurant do kindly offer alternatives if you don't eat meat or have allergies etc. We emailed Penny to say neither of us eat meat (we're pescatarians) so Penny informed us that our main would be Haddock Florentine. I apologised to Penny that I somehow initially missed seeing the email re letting her know about alternatives & so I only replied 2 days before our booking, but they were still able to accommodate this, of which we were really grateful. A young lady called Crystal came straight over to introduce herself & offer us water. Then another young lady came over very quickly to take our drinks order & she brought them over after a few minutes, but actually apologised for the delay! We knew there were 12-15 people at the bar at the time, so we actually thought it was very quick considering! We were then very prompty given some bread rolls too. For starters, we had the Cream of Cucumber & Fish Goujons. The Cream of Cucumber came out very hot, which Crystal did warn us about this a couple of times. We both thought it was great the kitchen was getting food out to so many people still piping hot! The Cucumber was very tasty. The Fish Goujons were delicious - crispy costing & the tartare sauce is the nicest one we've ever tasted. The salad was very fresh. Our Haddock Florentine was brought out with a side dish of rice & vegetables; the rice was cooked perfectly. The vegetables were very fresh & still had a bit of a crunch to them. The Haddock was incredibly tasty! The fish was falling apart & the cheese sauce & spinach were absolutely delicious. Again, this was piping hot & we were warned about this a couple of times when our dishes were brought out. For dessert we both had the Dark Chocolate Bavarois with caramelised oats & raspberry couli. This was absolutely divine! The chocolate was rich & very smooth, the couli was really delicious & wasn't too tart & the oats added a nice contrast of something a bit crunchy as the chocolate is soft. All dishes were brought out promptly & with generous portions. The service was quite quick & food was brought out very hot. All of the staff were lovely, friendly, professional, very pleasant & always had a smile on their face. Crystal in particular was attentive, very polite & a lovely young woman. In-between courses, Crystal came over to brush any crumbs off the table; we were impressed with the attention to detail - we've been to a few fine dining restaurants & none of them have done this. All 3 courses were £15pp including a tea or coffee at the end, so this is exceptional value. The food & service were fantastic & we'll definitely go again soon. I highly recommend going if you haven't already.
