I would leave zero stars if I could. Owensboro RV sold us seals for our camper toilet which were $97 and swore after several conversations that they were what we needed. They not once told us that they were nonrefundable if the package was opened. We didn't even try to put the seals in because we could tell by looking at them they were not going to work. They said it was against policy to refund them since it's a sanitation issue. Even in the small print at the bottom of our receipt where it does list other stuff that is nonrefundable, it didn't say anything about seals. I wished we would get another camper business closer so we didn't have to deal with them. read more

I normally try to go out if my way to support small and independent business. This though,, what a waste of time and money thus place has been. We bought a new Forest River in January. As it was cold, the refrigerator not working went unnoticed. Not a big deal, I think. After scheduling an appt just to drop it off, they had it for a week before anyone even looked at it. 3 weeks later and they still have our camper. What they don't have is answers. Well, I guess they don't, since phone calls go unreturned and promises go unfulfilled. Our sales guy (Matt) was awesome and I couldn't say anything but nice things regarding him. That's unfortunate too. As, I doubt we'll ever spend another dime here unless there is a pretty big revamp of the service/ warranty dept. We haven't been able to use the brand new camper even once. We bought a brand new RV to live in while we built a home. Within the 1st week the furnace didn't work. We asked them to cancel the sale, only a week in and they said they would not, but they would buy the camper back for $17,000 less than what we paid for it. Less than 7 days before! A door was broken when we bought it, they said they would order a new one the day we bought it. Still no door. The shower leaked. Refrigerator door wouldn't latch, trim falling off, many other issues that we have had to fight for them to fix. Terrible dealer, terrible service! read more

I'm really not sure where to start with the problems we had with this dealer. We purchased a used motor home in Florida and began having problems with the water heater once we returned home to Owensboro. We took our RV to this dealer because it is a Forest River product and thought they would be able to fix the problem fairly easily since they are a Forest River dealer. Wrong. First of all, it took three weeks to get an appointment which was only a drop off appointment and work would not start for several days. The initial inspection was conducted incorrectly and they said there wasn't a problem with the water heater. We stopped by and repeated to them about our concerns. Then upon their second inspection they contacted Dometic about the problem that they now observed. Dometic told them that the problem was a common issue with that water heater. Now, since they are a Forest River dealer you would have thought they knew about this "common problem". A third visit (and three weeks after the drop off appointment) they told us to pick up the motor home without fixing the problem after we had told them to order a different water heater. Long story short, they were going to charge us $1700 to replace the water heater and we had checked on line and the water heater cost $420. Really, nearly $1300 in labor to replace it! They charged us $67.50 to put water in the water tank and check out the function of the water heater and charged us another $67.50 to call Dometic about the problem. Then they charged us $27.00 for shop supplies, what shop supplies?, a towel to dry his hands? $67.50 is the cost of 30 minutes labor. 30 minutes to talk to someone at Dometic? They should have known what the problem is since they are the authorized Forest River dealer and this is a common problem with this brand water heater that they use in their products.
