By watching the other patients going before us...they are taking in the kids with broken arms and the elderly. It's nice they do that...it makes sense. But they should have some other doctors set aside for us others that need to go back to work and pick up our kids. I'm going to Whataburger after this...I'm starving. And if you respond to a sorry...I'd rather be treated to a Whataburger for my back pain and sorrow of hunger for waiting. ;) I'm kidding. I want to thank the whole staff here. Everyone is kind and patient. But honestly, when we make an appointment at a certain time - it makes sense to see us within 30 minutes time instead of 4 1/2 hours later.

Attempting to ride a hoverboard at my age after some drinks was stupid, but hey, I feel like I'm in my 20's every days!!! : ) Not kidding' Dr. Frank Gerald was truly helpful. He cleared his busy afternoon schedule and did the surgery. I am so grateful as he was leaving out of town the next day.

April 20, 2026 is another year without our brother. He was a husband, father, brother, uncle,…read morecousin and an amazing teacher so dearly missed. My brother John was born April 20, 1064 and died March 6, 2023. Mom and Dad named him after President Kennedy. He was brilliant, caring, loving, humorous and kind always an amazing teacher. He is deeply missed every day; every holiday by his family and friends. He would be with us today if "neglect in medical after care" had been priority after minor surgery. I am not afraid to put it out there because it is the truth. He suffered and complained to the doctor for 3 months after minor surgery of swelling to the knee and all the doctor would do is tell him heat and ice. Heat feeds an infection. His doctor failed to diagnose the infection until the infection reached his heart causing a heart attack. The doctor excused his death as heart attack resulting from heart problems. My point in posting this is simply if a doctor or surgeon does not listen to your complaints or pain trust your judgement and don't trust him with your life. Neglect of after-care can mean the difference of life or death. I am not fooled. The heart attack was as a result of negligence when medical failed the patient. My brother is missed every day. I love you my brother; my friend.

This is exactly what Mr. Fortino Gonzalez and his awesome team of professionals exemplify everyday and The company motto is the "GOOD KARMA". Good karma is exemplified everyday and all day long. I believe that if you possess good karma in you, you're drawn to people who have same quality. When I met Mr Gonzalez at a Veterans symposium, I felt reassured at his confidence while talking to him. He was a vendor at the event. I took a couple of the pens he handed out. I've long suffered from shoulder and hip problems; steroid shots were exhausted; surgery is out of the question. The pain woke me up at night and was exhausting. Soon I had the opportunity to chose a physical therapist. I remembered the pens and chose McAllen Physical Therapy written on them. I arrived and noticed that the "GOOD KARMA" starts from the front reception area and radiates through all employees. I was apprehensive at first before I went there, but became relaxed by the smiling demeanor and the warm friendly disposition of the staff. At the intake, Mr Gonzalez explained that his method of treatment is nonstandard textbook method. He believes that the analogy of "MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION" is a better approach. If the TRANSMISSION is bad, the MOTOR won't power. He set on activating the dormant muscles that helps the major muscles to work efficiently. So that is the fixing of the TRANSMISSION. Then the MOTOR will be tuned to work better. McAllen Physical Therapy does not promise what can't be achieved. Mr. Gonzalez and his awesome team are in accord with keeping the standards and methods, and he makes sure that they're doing so. This method is called, "POWERING UP WITHOUT POWERING DOWN" in the US Armed Forces leadership. He oversees the accuracy of their work without any micromanagement, and the trainers are confident at their work. The results are incredibly awesome. I can now reach into upper cabinets and walk more than a block without excruciating pain. The MOTOR is not perfect, but is operational. Moreover, I don't have to pop pain killer meds anymore. I owe a heartfelt gratitude to Mr Gonzalez at McAllen Physical Therapy and his team of GOOD KARMA employees.

I explained that I was a seasonal resident, and would be in the area in about a week, and asked if I could see the doctor sometime after that. I should have stopped right there. As soon as I mentioned that I had a partial knee replacement a year ago, she cut me off mid-sentence and said, "we don't see those patients. If you've already had surgery, the doctor won't see you." I've never heard of a doctor refusing to see a patient because of a previous surgery. If that's his policy, so be it. But the receptionist's rudeness was off-putting to say the least. I wouldn't call this office again for ANY issues I might have.
