We had an appetizer of spinach croquettes, which were crunchy on the outside and so creamy on the inside. Our main dish was one of the best meals I had in Europe. The dish was a seared pork shoulder cooked rare on a sizzling platter with fried cheese and roasted pearl onions. The pork was so tender and juicy that we actually thought it was steak until our guide informed us otherwise. Eating rare pork was a little scary but our guide assured us it was safe and a common way to cook meat in Spain, and luckily we didn't get sick from the rare pork. I still think about how delicious our pork dish was, especially paired with wonderful red wine. The dessert was also good and consisted of vanilla ice cream mixed with a sweet wine. A great place to eat since it's has tapas and larger entree options. A definite must if I return to Madrid!
