I usually don't go to extremes when yelping, but YELP I did when I stayed here…read more Before you read further note that the comments made are related to price and the expectation of what I would get for the money I paid out rather than the hotel itself. If the price for this room had been less than 100.00 I would have thought, no worries, I can live with that. That is what you expect for lower priced hotels. But I forked out over 125.00 for one night. My expectations were set by the photos on the website, and even lowering my expectations (as I normally do), they were still not met when I got to the room. I know that it is any motel's job to photoshop the hell out of the photo that shows the interior of their hotel rooms. Pick the best room and then make it look warm, cosy and inviting. Go to the website .. check out the photos and be amazed at how semi modern it is! I thought I would have received something similar seeing as I paid the highest rate available as far as I could see. The reality was very different. It is a very basic room albeit fairly large. It had painted beige walls, fluro wall lights, curtains with hooks that looked like they were ready to give up the ghost. The bathroom looks like it has not changed overly much from the 70s. The same shower head, pink toilet and black seat give you an idea of age. The tiles, once a blue colour, had been painted over white. What I thought was mould in the shower stall was simply the paint peeling off the tiles. There were more than a few cracked tiles that had never been replaced. It WAS a neat and clean room, but definitely tired. It did have free wireless, a hot shower, a new TV, a reasonable bed. It was a bit of a stretch to try ang get your car all the way under the "under cover parking" without affecting other guests' use of the pathway. I write this as I hear coughing and the sounds of TV from the next room, and the rumble of trucks using exhaust brakes as they go past in the distance. Finally, kudos to the photographer and his photographic and photoshop skills. He must be making a huge salary somewhere!
