This pub was actually pretty cool. Yeah, I rather liked it actually, though that probably had something to do with them having a nice selection of beers on tap. Yeah, honestly, any pub that has a nice selection of beers, especially out in the country, is certainly going to get my seal of approval. I found this place to be a rather pleasing place that did a pretty decent schnitzel as well. Perfectly located opposite the river allowing for awesome views from the main building. The hotel has various eating options and basic breakfast is included in the accommodation costs. You also get a free welcome drink and free internet! The breakfast is served in a large 1st floor cafe overlooking the river which is a great way to start the day. Room service is available too. The rooms are large and comfortable with plenty of light. The bathrooms are also large and clean. The hotel is also community owned so staying here supports the locals too! Only criticism I had is when people smoking out front of rooms smoke smell makes its way into the room. That aside I will stay again. read more

Nice spot next to the river (but isn't everything?!) Room was super spacious! Enjoyed the room, but the view wasn't the best, although I hear some of the rooms have spectacular views! Food was ok. Average pub meal which is what I was looking for. The included breakfast is nothing to write home about, but there are enough places around the river land to go get your fill ;) you shouldn't be looking for it in the hotel. (Note; breakfast on our last day (Saturday) was heaps better... Maybe they bring out the better food on the weekend?) I'm also a gym goer, and it was pretty average... But same things applies! Why cone to the river land if you're gonna be in the gym (but they shouldn't really advertise having one...) Amenities were great though. Everything you need is around the place, and a Woolworths is a short walk if you don't want pay ridiculous prices for Pringles. Despite a few little picky negatives, I'd stay here again. Berri is an amazing little place, and I think the best hub to explore what the Riverland has to offer! read more
