I pulled into this Steve's Shell Service Center, and Steve stepped up to help us. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and calm. He is extremely knowledgeable about modern vehicle electronics and took the time to listen to what happened, scan the vehicle's computer codes, and explain exactly what was causing the glitch. He cleared the error codes for us completely for free so we could get back on the road safely and finish our holiday trip. Later I brought it back for the same issue--and was charged another $150 for diagnostics. They replaced a spark plug and fuel pump, bringing the total to $780+600. As I left, the check engine light came on again. They even asked me for gas money to finish their test drive. I was respectful the entire time, but this experience left me feeling that I was taken advantage of. I wouldn't recommend them for serious diagnostics or accountability.
