Unlike many other pizza places we both felt like they did not cheap out on the toppings. A small pizza is 8 slices and could easily feed 1-2 people. I decided to try OG Pizza and was immediately excited to see they offered Portuguese chouriço as a topping. That is not something you see often in North America. I went with chouriço, garlic, and pineapple, and it turned out to be a great choice. The pizza was perfectly cooked to a golden brown, with a crust that sat nicely between a crispy Italian style and the more chewy, bread-like American style. Price-wise, it was not expensive but not cheap either. I would say it sits in the middle and would feel like a fairly standard price if it were in a busier area with more competition. One thing I want to point out is that something felt like it was missing in the tomato sauce or seasoning. I could not quite figure out what it was, but it kept the pizza from being a perfect 10 for me. I think I noticed it more because I have had authentic Portuguese pizza before. I have been to Portugal and the Azores, and growing up with my Portuguese family, I have had some incredible chouriço pizzas, along with other top-tier pizzas both internationally and locally in St. Catharines.
