We have a warranty until June 4th and we needed to get the sprinkler heads adjusted for better coverage in a few areas. He ignored us completely. When my husband wrote a negative review for his company, he said he tried to call us several times, which is not true. But today, when he read our review, he accused us of harassing him and said that he wanted us to take it down and that the warranty does not cover the adjustment of the sprinkler heads. What sense does that make? Some of our grass died within 6 weeks and he made us pay for the replacement. He has been so difficult to work with and confrontational. We would not recommend this person for any work.

It was one of the more unprofessional things I've received in my life. While I cannot speak to this company's work, based on the email, I certainly would not allow this company anywhere near my property or family. "Very poorly run business. I took work off to get a quote. Jon postponed an hour before he was supposed to show up and it took three calls to get him to call back. He then decided to pass on the business. A very bad experience."

He was responsive, easy to communicate with, and got the job done faster than I expected. The repair turned out great and blended in really well with the existing coping. Would definitely recommend Payton if you're looking for someone who communicates well, shows up, and does quality work.

I contacted Mike Hayes & Associates and scheduled and appointment for a consult during the last week of May. We have a big back yard project involving landscaping/grading/design around a pool that we needed help with. William came out as scheduled, looked at the area, took some measurements, etc. He quite honestly wasn't overly friendly and seemed dismissive of any ideas I had. Once he had all the necessary info he said he would get back to me with a plan and estimated cost. Fast forward, its now three weeks later. Not one word from from William or anyone else from the company. I'm not the kind of person who will chase people down to give them my business (and for a big project, nonetheless) so there is currently another landscaping company doing work in my back yard as I type this review. Mike Hayes & Associates probably do outstanding work, but their business response quite frankly is horrific.

I'd like to give a BIG shout-out to William Vanlandingham at Mike Hayes & Associates landscape…read moredesigners in Franklin for the SUPERB JOB he did on our yard. We shopped around extensively at several professional landscapers and decided to go with William for a wide variety of reasons. He was VERY responsive to our landscaping desires and spent a great deal of time carefully drafting a specific plan for our side and back yards. William is extremely knowledgeable regarding local vegetation and trees, and offered numerous suggestions regarding what would and would not work. Once the plan was finalized we set a date for the work. He closely managed the entire landscaping process and the results were BEAUTIFUL. We've received many compliments on our side and back yards with many thanks to William's efforts. His prices were absolutely REASONABLE and he did NOT charge extra for all the design and drafting work he did for us unlike so many other landscaping firms in the area. I give William my strongest personal recommendation. We are SO pleased with his work!

STAY AWAY FROM GREEN SCENE!…read more While I initially appreciated working with Hosea and found the pricing reasonable during my sprinkler system installation last October 2024, I've since experienced multiple issues that have raised concerns. A PVC pipe was broken shortly after the install, resulting in yard damage. I was informed the repair wasn't Green Scene's responsibility, despite the work being done by your team. More recently, in late June 2025, I reported another issue and followed up twice -- only to have your team arrive without notice and complete a repair I believe should fall under warranty for a system approximately 9 months old. Yet, I received a $140 invoice. Additionally, I was billed $220 on July 14th for a job completed May 5, 2025. The lack of communication, unexpected billing, and unclear service terms have been frustrating. I hope this feedback helps improve transparency moving forward. STAY AWAY FROM GREEN SCENE

We spent 30K with them to install irrigation & sod in our backyard. We also hired them to maintain the yard and keep it looking nice. Two years later all we got was dead grass and a lot of excuses. They said they would make it right and fix everything then ghosted us. My suggestion is to avoid Green Scene at all cost.
